Another record have been set by the 66 yrs. old former Nigerian two times minister of finance, and foreign affairs. Dr/Mrs Ngozi Okonjo Iwela. She was yesterday appointed the seventh director general of the world trade organization WTO the 26th year old organization, she is the first female and first African to hold that position. She deserve more, She pledged to rebrand and reform the trade sector.

She had set so many records while serving as the minister of finance in Nigeria, It is time women are giving the opportunity to serve in key sectors in the world affairs, I hope some people who are of the impression that women are meant to serve from the kitchen and not in the affairs of the society will have a change of mindset and start believing in the capacities of a woman in the society.

I strongly believe she will deliver 100% as the new DG world trade organization, the world need someone like her especially during the hard times the world is in she will help most staggering economy stand still and upcoming economy grow. Nigeria is blessed with intelligent and smart minds that’s if allowed key positions we would not be where we are today. I pray God give her the strength to serve successfully, the position is a though one most especially being a lady and being her first time holding a big position they will be a lot of obstacles I pray she be strong for us all.

I see great opportunities coming to Nigeria, but I pray we don’t see this as an opportunity to secure more loans for our self. Ladies are no longer smiling they are now proven to be really productive, even the US white house the new government that just came in elected a woman to be his deputy that’s to show you how far women have gone.
congratulations to her.

Congratulations to her and congratulations to you and the rest of Nigeria for recognising the fact that women have so much to offer the world for positive progression!

Hopefully on the world trade stage, she will be able to shine a light on the serious financial issues like the corruption that Nigerians face every day and be able to do something about it all to improve it for everyone.

I wish her and all of you the very best.
