The last couple of days have been crazy as I have already said, I'm focused on my off-chain work and that is shortening the time of my absence from the Hive... The more I focus, the better job I'm doing, and more effectively... That is important in ANY work... To be focused and give 100% of us into it...

And there is another side of being absent... Every day that you are not SHOWING up, your image in the head of your followers, friends, or audience is fading out... And when you are gone for more days, week, people forget about you and it's very hard to reconnect and get back in the "circle"... It's not impossible, but it's hard...

Back to the topic... I have noticed some bad practices on Twitter from some people that I follow and I don't like it... So, I would like to share that with you and I hope, make some valid points why it's not to act like that... I'm talking about people that are like 100% in a certain coin and every other project/token/coin is a shitcoin for them... and not just that, but they are spitting on other projects just to make their coin bigger, better... That's not building a good reputation on shi**ing on others... You will never get too far with that...

The same pattern is happening in a lot of different industries, where people tend to fight between each other doing bad marketing not just for the other company, but also for themselves...

This is an interesting comparison... I thought in a bit wider perspective, but it is applicable there also... Hive, Leo, ETH, BTC... we are doing a hard pioneer job to push through the awesome thing called CRYPTOCURRENCIES!

That's why DYOR become so important.

But why shiller exists?
Because 90% of crypto project has no use case, just shiller and Exchange listing.

Yes, I did... and it was a HIVE shiller... :) I have no problems with people "shilling" their favorite coin, but I don't like to see people shitting on other projects to make their coin prettier... That's the wrong approach...

Instead of looking narrow, we need to look at it in a wide range. It is better to diversify the portfolio. Every project does not offer everything and actually, it does not have to. There are a lot of things we can do. Yes, it is about supporting, not fighting.

Exactly... It would be the same as in real-life... You have a plumber that is a doctor and occasionally piloting the airplane... There is always a place for other projects if it is good and has a good starting point...

If your coin/token is, then there is no need of spitting on others... ;)

I almost didn't get involved with altcoins because if this attitude. Hardcore bitcoiners would diss other coins and try to make altcoin supporters feel like they didn't understand crypto. Fortunately I was able to find folks with the right energy to help me learn and get more involved in crypto.

I was following some of the "hard Bitcoiners" on YT for some time... And when we were in that last bull run 4 years ago, they were all about Bitcoin... After that, during this bear-fall, they started to look at the other side... Saw that altcoins aren't a threat to the Big Daddy, and saw the benefits of them... and started with creating altcoin videos.. :)

You are very right about this. A lot of people practice it, I can even name some people like that on Hive. It is just a bad practice. I hope we all understand that soon.

I have to admit that I have used our HIVE as an example and inspiration for this post... As there are some people here that are "too narrowed" and can't stand other coins and projects... and I don't mean on our old blockchain...

In a way it's never good to put all eggs into one basket. The chances that your eggs are in the one token that will go to the moon is quite low. It's much better to bet on an array of horses and hoping that one of them will win the race. I try to spread my crypto wealth on several currencies that I believe in.

...and you sound also like an experienced horse-betting guy... :P I heard that "all eggs in one basket" saying a million times... but at this moment, I imagined it in my head and saw the image of how I'm stumbling over something and all eggs got broke... :)

Same here, I’m currently working switching micro thinking into macro thinking to bring long term value to HIVE.

Eliminating the things not to do and focusing doing few things that bring huge value to our community

I always believed there is room for everyone... there are many alt coins out there that have potential & so does HIVE. Some people are into one or two while others play the field with crypto...there really isn't any right or wrong answer....

While I mainly focus on HIVE & LEO, I also enjoy LBRY, BTC, ETH, etc. I have a nicely diversified portfolio, which I believe is important to have because you truly never know what can happen in the crypto-verse...

There may be a better coin/token for each of us but it doesn't diminish the importance of another...sometimes it pays to explore other options since it's a big world out there & who knows what gems are out there...

I do consider myself loyal to the community overall that resides in HIVE so I agree when you describe us as "family"...when we continue to support one another in our individual journeys (whether we are directly involved in the same crypto or not), it uplifts our blockchain itself in the long run...

We are doing big things here & as long as we remember how connected we all are, I know we can do even bigger things down the line...:)

Like I said in another comment, there is room for every GOOD project out there... There are shitcoins that serve nothing... We can't pretend that they don't exist... But, on the other side, if someone really believes in a certain coin that it is THE BEST, and the most fantastic, I don't know why they feel threatened by others? If you are the best, you don't have to sh*t over others to make your coin "more bestest" :) Isn't like that?

Don't create your glory on others' suffer, or downgrading others... Do it in a way by doing the right thing, adding value to YOUR project, and not devaluing others...
