Standing on the Sidelines .:. Am I One Of Them?

We all know what this title means... But it doesn't mean the same for everyone... Someone would say that people who are just watching on the crypto, commenting, but don't do anything to get involved are "sideliners"...

Or when you create some amazing project, and some people are joining it, but there is another group that isn't secure that it's the right thing to jump into something new... They are hesitating, and sometimes, that hesitation lasts the whole life... Just watching all the good things passing by, in a fear that something will go wrong if you jump in...

pg divider203.png

The last couple of days I had a feeling that I'm one of the "sideliners"... From my point of view, I have been a bit "reserved" in all this and maybe fell into the new comfort zone... And that means that I'm not growing... And that's exactly how sideliners look and live...

pg divider203.png

Just a small jump into my personal history... When I was at the end of my University, I have started my business... It was a small computer shop, where I was a co-owner, and my friend and I have started it with literally $200... It was 20 years ago when the distribution of goods "wasn't a thing", so we had to travel 300km (+300 back) twice a week to collect goods... And we didn't have a car...

After a year or two, our paths have split and I opened my shop... It was easier as I had more clients, and people who knew me... After a couple more years, I started a third company, along with my competition... And it was a huge success... Until the economic crisis...

pg divider203.png

9 years ago I have decided to move to another country with my family and start from scratch... It was OK at the beginning, but slowly, I have noticed that I was pulling back myself from the first lines to the second... From offensive to middle field...

I got tired of working with people, and I have decided to wait for someone else to take initiative this time... I didn't want to be the guy who is pulling first, but rather the guy who keeps someone's back... So, I went from the middle field to all in defense...

pg divider203.png

And, here I am... Trying to push that story, but it's not going... I felt like a sideliner that just wandering from side to side...

I'm always trying new things... And this was my tryout to play in defense of my entrepreneur life, but real entrepreneurs aren't made for playing in defense... Our place is to step out and ATTACK! When everyone is in defense, we are trying to break out! Is there a better moment than NOW?

I hope you will follow this blog in the future as you could miss something interesting and different very soon! You will be invited to be a part of it and I hope that we will earn and grow together!

Thank you for your time,

~ph~

Offense is the best defense, or how is it called? You moved to Spain, from where if I may ask?

Do you need some kick? Some motivation trigger? This can be the key as you might need an AHA moment or fuck it moment, where you pull the sails high and go towards the opportunity that you need to chase.

hehehehe... Thanks for the comment, and for the kick... :)

Actually, I know to kick myself a lot of times... But, I do appreciate your offer... The choice of moving to the background was mine, so I can't blame anybody else for that... I thought that it can work, but I forgot that the world always needs more action takers and people who are moving others forward...

It's easy when you are young, but it's not an excuse to kick some butts when you are older... :) I have some interesting plans that I'm already working on... You will be informed on time... :)

I'm Hungarian, but I lived in Serbia most of my life...

I was kidding in Hungarian. :)
I speak it a little, having some Erdelyszekely blood in my veins. Also being born on the border (Arad) and having a lot of Hungarian friends it comes natural. I think, from this point I was lucky to be born in one of the most multicultural places in Europe, that was like this even before multicultural was cool. To be able to have friends in the same neighborhood, like Pista (Hungarian), Dieter (German), Miodrag (Serb), George (Jew) and Dusan (Slowak) and not give a damn about it, was enriching and mind shaping. Ok,on football we had our preferences, but Dieter outperformed everyone :))

hehehe... I'm not from Subotica, but I have a good friend there, so every time when I'm on a visit to my family, I go to Subotica also... Wasn't there this year, but I hope that this virus shit will be over until the next summer...

And, I agree... All that part is very multicultural... in Vojvodina, were living over 20 nationalities in my time... Now, everyone has escaped from there... :(

Cheers!

World is small, I've still got relatives in Zrenjanin and Novi Sad, we used to visit them a lot till the war started. Now, once every 2 years they come to visit my parents.

Last time I was in Subotica, around 9-10 years ago, there was in the restaurant where we have been, the one and only Goran Bregovic. That was so cool!

The better moment is always NOW.You seem have to done many things in your life. Nothing could be tougher than what you had done in the past. Keep up the good work. Get in the middle :P

LOL Too funny.

Just finished up Thursday Night Live and spoke exactly about this...

Defence is cool and all, but it won't win you the game alone...You need to 'attack' and get out of your comfort zone.

Brilliant stuff man!

Thanks for the kind words... It's all about getting those hands dirty... You can't score a goal from a defense...

Looking and gaining knowledge will not help until you apply it for your profit.
A hesitation to start will not work. Sometime people think they will be laughing stock if they fail but they forget they will not going to succeed until they try.

It's the "law" of theory and practice... You can know everything about a certain thing, but if you stay on the "commenting" and "criticizing" level, without taking action, all that knowledge is futile... ;)

Thanks for the comment!

Great article man! I think it's not always easy to get down from this fence and actually start to attack :-). I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned.

Thanks, man... I'm just justifying myself that I have done that on PURPOSE, and not being lured to that part of the field... So, I can change it... and will :)

As much as we work hard on things there will be times that even you want to be on the sidelines for a bit, not that you have given up but maybe to see a bigger/wider picture. Taking some steps back to take a break or even to have a moment of introspection sometimes is needed. Taking some steps back can give you the extra push and boost to take a bigger and maybe a better jump if that makes sense.
So since it's you, it is ok to be on the sidelines for a bit, as long as you don't stay there forever 😁
And I know you won't :)
I appreciate your hard work so far, now have a nice wine! The weekend is here!

You are right... It is like taking a break... Or it was more like to see how it is on the "other" side... :) It helps in knowing the options, and then it's easier to make the right decision... If you know just one road, then you have fewer possibilities to grow and learn new things...

Exploring options is useful as it pays off in the end... If we are persistent to reach that point... :)
