The 2017 Crypto Rally
I was first sensitized on crypto through sports blogging. It was in mid to late 2018. When I came to the crypto network, the 2017 rally was already done. I never got to see the upside and euphoria in the crypto community the rally brought. However, I experienced the crumbling and the deep somber that followed afterwards.
It is interesting for someone who entered the crypto space through blogging and eventually took part in the crypto finance to hear a lot about the 2017 incident but never experience it. The ATH seasons seems to have come back but I still wonder if the euphoria remains the same or the crypto community has matured to remain unaffected by these rallies.
The crypto market was sliding and on a downward spiral when I joined Scorum. I did not care much because I wanted to write and interact and earning crypto and the crypto price were secondary to me. However, the blogging numbers, engagement and interaction kept dropping in subsequent months in 2018 and 2019. The crypto price drove the population into these platforms and the engagement died when the price rally stopped. Everything went downhill.
The platforms were not dead but they were deserted. During the downtime, I tried many other blogging platforms and also sensitized myself with crypto concepts. I did not dare to buy my first coin up until April 2020 even though I knew about them earlier. COVID happened and it changed the way I looked into stock investment. That's another story.
The prices are green again. BTC is ripping and ALTs are following. Everything is looking happy and rosy. With the price increase, I feel like I am gasping :P I am regretting my decision to sell BTC and ETH. I am cursing myself to not buying all those dips. I am discouraged that I did not understand all signs and indicators. Having said that, I am happy that things are changing and I am in the mix to experience the surge that is happening now.
I will be able to recount the 2020/21 experience in the next five years. Hope this rally will continue and sustain in 2021 and this is just the starting phase. I think I am well sensitized and mildly prepared to dive into the space for the years to come.

hahhahhah!, I would prefer that you only follow my TA if you understand it and makes sense to you.
One of the best investments I am doing is to keep learning TA, it is a superpowerful weapon but the most important is to have a good risk management behavior, more important than anything indeed.
I actually take your posts as a resource page on how to use TA. It gives me your perspective how you use them in a real world scenario.

Same, 20 K bitcoin caught my attention at late 2017 and I started joining crypto platforms. With all the roller coaster ride, I always stayed with them and just keep enjoying them. From reading to earning all become my part of life.

Sometimes timing is everything. But we can be well prepared for the next crypto bull market.
Even though I got in to crypto well before the crypto bull and the bear market that followed. I must say that I learned so much in bear market than bull.

You will gain experience from what happens over the next 6 months. There is money to be made and lessons to be learned. I suggest following a few people that lived through the last one and have kept going through the red seasons. They will be doing their best to come out on top this time around.
Myself included. I have been sitting on some coins for three years as they lost all value. This time I will take some profit and keep building my hive stack. I will also get ready to sell and buy the blood when it crashes again.
I think that's a great idea. I find it really tough to let go of the coins that I am attached to :). That's not very smart, I know. I am following few seasoned handles here on Hive. Hope they will help the community members navigate the rush. I am following you too :D
