# 882 - Canadian Wildlife - Part 4

avatar

Today we will continue the series called "Canadian Wildlife".

The Royal Canadian Mint is known by its high quality work and the enormous number of commemorative coins issued each year. Among these commemoratives we find many, individual or in series, under the theme "wildlife".

Canada, with its vast lands and seas, is the home of a varied fauna and that will be showed in this series.

I will try to post land animals, sea animals and birds, in that order.

The fourth is a 2015 CAD $20 "Majestic Moose".

This coin is part of the "Majestic Animals" Series, the first of the ten coins series issued in 2017, 2016 and 2017.

It weights 31.39g with silver purity of 99.99% and Coloured Proof finish. The mintage was 6,500 units. The issue price was CAD $99.95.

The reverse shows a Moose and it was designed and engraved by Claudio D'Angelo.

Colorized coins are surely pretty. I have a couple of them called Cubs, I think they are. I do like coins depicting wildlife. Thanks for the show @ronavel. Take care 🥰🌺🤙.

I love the colored Moose on the Obverse @ronavel!! I normally shy away from colored silver rounds, but this one is done nicely!!

Many colored rounds and coins were not born colored. They received the colors after being sold. This one was made colored by the Royal Canadian Mint. Much more beautiful!
