The music industry has been evolving for years, various platforms and technologies have emerged, many of them focused on the issue of artists' royalties and making a better distribution of those profits. Copyright is also being taken care of, among other factors. And Blockchain projects have not stopped analyzing these problems.

Since I entered this environment I have met multiple platforms that offer options for music artists, the first ones I met were the video platforms where I share diverse content, Dlive, Dtube, 3speak and Lbry; in these platforms, you have the possibility to share your music and get rewards, I also met Emanate, which is a platform with a specific focus for music, Emanate gave me the impression of being a Spotify in Blockchain, I have some time without entering and see its evolution. This is just to mention a few platforms, today there are many, it is a wide universe.

Even, some time ago Warner Music Group invested in Blockchain developments specifically at Dapper Labs. It is evident that NFTs are becoming a great alternative to the relationship between artists and their fans.

In free business model platforms like YouTube, many users have perceived their music channels demonetized even having the rights of the music owners, I think that in this area with the use of Blockchain and smart contracts could solve that situation without intermediaries, and in a transparent way.

There are still many challenges of this industry, if you know of any project regarding music in blockchain that would be interesting to investigate let me know in the comments.

Emanate seems promising, I wish Bandcamp would integrate with Hive accounts and payments... maybe something like Lensy.io 🤞
