So one has to buy Leo, and then buy LBI and then stake it ? It's not quite clear what it means by tokens are 100% backed by staked LEO. Can we earn LBI by staking Leo as well ?

No staking is required by you. LBI tokens work on POH (proof of holding) model. In a nutshell, you buy your LBI tokens and just hold them in your wallet, no staking required.

When its says the tokens are 100% backed by staked LEO, that means that every LBI token issued will have 1 LEO staked on the token holders behalf by @lbi-token. So if we issue 100,000 LBI tokens, the @lbi-token account will have 100,000 LEO staked in its wallet. The profits made from that 100,000 staked LEO is used to pay weekly LEO dividends to token holders and to make further investments to increase the token price.

And lastly, you can not earn LBI by staking LEO because LBI is not part of the LEO team. If you mean delegating LEO to @lbi-token in exchange for LBI tokens, this would not work as tokens are backed by staked LEO which is not the same as receiving a delegation.
