Leo Backed Investment (LBI) - What are they and why should I invest?

I am always on the look-out for good investments and have been putting some money into different tokens to hold over 2021. In a recent post I shilled my top 5 tokens to hold in 2021.

One investment that I didn't include was the LBI token or LEO Backed Investment Token issued by @lbi-token.

The tokenomics of $LBI is as follows:

1. Priced in LEO

• Each LBI is issued and valued using LeoFinance's LEO tribe token
• Tokens currently available at a price of 1 LEO per LBI (until the end of January 2021). Just send any amount of LEO to @lbi-token to get involved

This means the time to get in and get your LBI is now before the 1:1 opportunity goes away. I predict the price for $LBI will increase after this offer goes away.

2.LBI model

• All LEO/monies acquired from issuing LBI tokens will be staked to @lbi-token
• Build a network of active and passive incomes
• Reinvest into LEO to increase earnings in the early stages and build a solid foundation
• Make off-chain, crypto, LP are traditional markets after LBI is established to build a nest of time tasted safe investments
• Continue to reinvest into LEO and aim to lock up as many LEO as we can for a very long time

This will grow not only LEO but LBI as well as the tokens are staked and reinvested into the LEO network. With bigger things to come from LEO, this staked investment is going to only grow further.

3. Target ROI

• LBIs initial aim is to provide a token price growth of 20-25% per year.

If this is achieved then this will be an amazing return on investment.

4. LeoBacked Investments ownership

• Each LBI token represents a share of ownership in LeoBacked Investments including all @lbi-token's LEO, HIVE and HE wallet contents and any off-chain investments and wallets.

The ownership will be shared across all token holders in an equitable manner.

5. Weekly dividend

• LBI tokens holder will receive a weekly LEO dividend payment each Tuesday at 8 PM UTC.
• Dividends are funded using 50% of all LEO earning for that week
• Payments are based on your average LBI token holding's over the previous 7 days - no staking is required for this token like some other SCOT based tokens.

This was supposed to begin on 5th January 2021, but after a vote by token holders, it was decided to wait so that the account can accumulate more LEO from curation and authoring ready for dividends to start.

6. Governance

• All LBI tokens holders with a balance of more than 10 LBI tokens are able to vote on LBI governance using a weighted voting system of 5 tiers that discourage's whale manipulation.

1. 10-99 LBIs will earn a vote equal to 1
2. 100-499 LBIs will earn a vote equal to 2
3. 500-2,499 LBIs will earn a vote equal to 3
4. 2,500-9,999 LBIs will earn a vote equal to 4
5. 10,000+ LBIs will earn a vote equal to 5
   Governance voting can be used for selecting investments, makes amendments to this agreement and even winding down of LBI
   One account per user can be used for LBI governance voting

This makes it clear on how decisions will occur in terms of investment going forward.

7.Buyback offer

• Any token holder with 100+ LBI tokens that decides to cash out will be entitled to use the 95% buyout offer.
• LBI will buy back any number of tokens over 100 LBI for 95% of the 5-day price average

This is a great idea for people who may need to access their funds quickly and shows how strong this team believes this investment could be for the long-term.
