!WINE – I am a Little Sore

avatar

I don’t mean the red or white type, I mean the token WINE. It has gone to shit. When the developer has not made an appearance for 2 months then the investors are going to get nervous.

Cover.JPG

Just over a month ago I decided to get out. I had purchased over 700 WINE tokens at the cheapest ICO price of 0.27 per token but the wine was quickly starting to smell stale. I was an Orca and no longer wanted to be anything in WINE.

levels.JPG

The Bot was very intermittent, some days it worked, others it did not.

Power-down was fortunately in 4 stages and I managed to sell 3 lots of 172 at 0.27 each which was what the buy wall was intended for.

LastSells.JPG

My last batch is just about un-staking today but the wall collapsed yesterday. That’s why I am sore. I managed to reclaim 75% of my investment and was a day late.

signed_slopper01.jpg

...'chops tokens, a blast from the past. Great artwork though!'...

The rest are about as useful as fucking chops tokens.

JustinParke0.JPG

I do feel for some of the other people who didn’t see this quickly enough, namely @justinparke and probably @meesterboom who are now stuck with useless tokens like me.

JustinParke.JPG

I hope they managed to dump at least some of them.

LastRoger.JPG

So what happened to @roger.remix? This is the last communication I have seen from him.

Has he done an exit scam due to the ICO failing to create much interest? I can see it did not do as well as anticipated but the evidence of a scam shows otherwise.

image.png

@roger.remix still has over 5000 staked WINE tokens suggesting this was no exit scam.

It's still a mystery to me what happened, or whether this is going to kick off again.

The !WINE bot has not worked in weeks and that is what aroused my senses to something rotten.

BuyOrders.JPG
...'looking to get out? you missed the boat.. it sailed yesterday'...

Is it any wonder we are all getting more suspicious of all these new BOT's that are turning up boasting of riches if you stake them?

I will be keeping away from them ALL in the future.

I've never heard of @roger.remix and don't think I have any wine. Let me check . . . I have 0.9 😂

I'm very vary of these things ever since that guy walked away from the noupvote no resteem contest token. (Can't remember what it was called). I'd been a member of the Discord which was very active and in communicated with him alot and he just up and left. It all got too much for him apparently. I think I had something like 300 Steem invested which was worth something at the time.

Nowadays I'm not keen on tokens that don't have a team and a plan.

I tend to sell most of them, after what happened on STEEM (most went to shit after all the initial excitement). Then you get things like LEO which work out and regret all the selling.

#ProofOfBrain is the latest hot one, will it come to anything?

Not a problem for me I rarely sell anything. 😂

My proofofbrain is all powered up.

But I'm thinking it might be time to start powering up 50% of token returns and sell the other 50%. I've been dragging my feet because I'd need to work out the mechanics of it all. Yesterday I was trying to compare the cost of BTC on CMC versus CoinbasePro and somehow I managed to accidentally buy some at a price higher than I was wanting. 😂

If you can't enjoy your spoils then why collect them? I make no qualms about cashing out some of my tokens including HIVE. If I could pay for things directly with it, then I would have no need.

Because my ultimate goal is passive income for retirement. I'm hoping that by the time that arrives there will be more investment choices for crypto. Right now I'm staking in various places which is getting me more tokens. Currently I don't want to turn them into Fiat. I want to increase my stake. But . . . I also want to reduce the risk of too many tokens in the same place so I want to start taking them off Hive and move them somewhere else. I haven't decided where yet.

This is sad though..

When the developer has not made an appearance for 2 months then the investors are going to get nervous.

Of course that will make investors to get worried and that wil make them to syart thinking of withdrawing their investment....

There are some who will get burnt on this. I didn't do so badly. It all depends how early you started to smell the rot.

Sale of these were being pushed to use token as a form of tipping token, sad it is not being maintained. Only have a few to work with will let the Wine lay perhaps it will mature with age 😁 not going to get much moving it now....

Very sad, but I realized the same a week ago. Unfortunately it was already too late and now I still have 688 WINE staked in my wallet. Maybe @roger.remix will return after all and explain himself... Glad that you got almost all of your investment back in time.

Still very sad, because I like wine.

Roger has a large stake in tribe tokens. If he was planning a heist.. surely the other tokens would vanish as well? I don't think that is the case, but it's irresponsible to let all the investors down.

Yeah I don't think so either. But if he already knew he wouldn't have much time to take care of the project, he could at least have put someone in charge of handling problems and for communication..

Oh bollocks. I was trying to get mine out too, I think I got two powerdowns with the buy wall, I was hoping it would hold!!

I am happy to say scam. REgardless of whether he has tokens. Git that he is!

My last un-stake just came through. Sad to say I cut my losses and dumped 100 for 3.7 HIVE. Now there's just one buy order left if you are interested..., I now only have 72 worthless tokens left. There's always LUV.

I just checked and dont see any more unstakes to come, I must have gotten out on the last buy order after all. Which is weird as I only remember getting two powerdowns but who the heck knows.

Such a shame, Should have realised when I saw the word ICO, nothing ever good came out of an ICO!

DAMN! So i wasn't the only one who thought the bot went AWOL I was wondering when someone was gonna mention this...... Glad you got back atleast 75% , I think I lost about 30odd HIVE overall so not too bad. (but this was when the price was a bit higher than now so I'll just add it to the losses-I-dont-think-about-bucket 😭

Yes, I think we all got ripped off. Thanks for the LUV, that's the first wedge I have managed to get.

That sucks. It is hard to know what is going to be a successful project these days and what is going to fall flat. I think this came out during the time when everyone was launching a token for something not too long ago. I remember you had your doubts about the flood of tokens being release. Sorry this one didn't work out for you!

Some work out and some don't. That's just how it is. VIBES on the other hand was great. I got a lot of miners on the cheap. They give me daily tokens.

That is cool. I have some VIBES miners too. Not a ton, but I get a trickle of income. I just stake it all.

LOL I said this to @urun just recently that all these tokens make Hive look bad. Someone up the chain definitely takes real money from fools then they're all left holding onto hope.

You should all stop calling them things "an investment" though that's fucken laughable!

Why do most even exist anyway..
Ohh "to reward each other"
Well why don't you just give each other Hive you cheap cunts!

Personally these kind of tokens I see as being pointless, Even more so when HF25 comes out and makes voting on comments viable again for small stake holders. (the tax curve is getting removed iirc)

Still. If done right they have their uses.. but most end up just plain bad.

it's so annoying while we are trying to build a strong community and attract more people to have our own "community members" play games like that...

The vanity type tokens are a hard call. There are a few that seem to work well and that some people like to get or give and maybe convert to Hive, the conversion to Hive is what the vanity tokens were kind of a bout or so I thought. I hold some for a while stake what needs to be staked and then just sell them. Most of the time I forget to add the bot tag in, so am thinking of moving more away from them. I will see when HF25 comes in how it will work.

I thought WINE was made by the same dudes who did TRODO, it seems not. The engine etc.. is the same, but not the people. I probably got my loss back from the earnings on this post. Time to move on.

One thing I kind of noticed on the comment boost/vanity tokens is that the bigger their advertisement the less people like it. Engage, beer, pizza, and luv tokens, they all have two to three lines and do not take up half a screens worth of real estate. Pizza and luv started with larger forms, but narrowed them down, even beer had a larger form at one time, but I think they all looked at to see why Engage was doing well and then narrowed their reply down.

I don't know who/what TRODO was I do not recall seeing that one.

I never got too into Wine. Got !BEER, Pizza, Engage and Luv to give out. They all seem fairly sound projects.

Been meaning to comment on this post for a few days, but just getting around to it. I too bought in at just under 700 WINE during the initial launch. I definitely didn't see it as a proper investment, but intended to use it as a novelty tip considering my HP is still fairly small.

Roger is super-flaky and flighty, and honestly had I known he was the backbone of the project, I probably wouldn't have gotten involved with the WINE token. Perhaps faith held out too long for me, as I didn't immediately begin unstaking after the first signs of problems with this token.

That being said, I'm not butthurt over it, I realize every thing on Hive-Engine sidechain is a risk, and I've won with most of my other "experiments." I was planning on lightening my load on Hive-Engine recently, so this is just further incentive to do so. As far as Roger goes, a few months ago he made a single post in ReggaeJAHM under the name @Roger.Reggae, claiming he was going to try and be active again, but that didn't happen. If I recall correctly, he didn't even respond to the comments on that post.

Here is the last communication I have from him...

JAHM was another disaster. I offloaded 5700 tokens for peanuts a few weeks ago. That's just how it is. I am very wary of anything on hive.engine now.
