Anyone on Reddit?

Hello folks, i have just spent the morning at the most wonderful place. A club member suggested that SPinvest should look into creating a Reddit account and hosting a subreddit. I'll not name the member as im sorta promoting another platform here but i joined up last night and dropped a quick hello post into the silver stacking community r/silverbugs. I woke up this morning and had 9 welcoming replies with a few members providing me with links to newbie info pages. It's been a while from i seen 9 replies. I've never used Reddit before and i don't use facebook/twitter are any of that so seeing 9 replies reminds of the steemit 2017.

Anyways, as SPinvest grows and HIVE active users decreases, we might need to look for greener fields someday and having an active subreddit set up on Reddit could pay off for us big time. If we can convert a few over to HIVE even better.

r/SPinvest

I have not created the SPinvest subreddit yet as my account does not meet the requirements but in a week are so I'll have built up enough rep and then I'll get it done.

You might be thinking to yourself, why would we need a subreddit for SPinvest? The simple answer is people, there are lots of people use Reddit and when SMT/HMT's are ever released we will have a much bigger audience to promote to. They are many steem/hive communities that run Facebook and Twitter pages to promote the blockchain so why don't we do the same?

My idea for the first few months on Reddit will be to make a few posts about HIVE and how it works, tease them with a few earning and holdings posts to entice questions and of course promote our idea of long term saving. I have 600 new STEEM accounts waiting to be claimed on a personal account of mine and i can easily use them to onboard new people to HIVE. Reddit has about 330 million active users compared to HIVE's 30,000 at very best. Only a 330 million difference between the 2. If SPinvest can turn only 20-100 onto the HIVE blockchain in a year, that's a win.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think? Do you have a Reddit account already?

It definitely can't hurt to have more eyes and potential investment coming into the fund through HIVE.

If you're willing to put the time into managing a presence anywhere else online, it'll certainly be beneficial long term for all.

Copy/paste some content, reply back to questions and dont be a twat :)

Im thinking more about having a base in place for SMT's/HMT's,

Sounds like a very good strategy. You can cross-post your HIVE posts into Reddit using AltYes for example. If the divident have been payed out a few times, that would be a nice topic to share in Reddit, gaining some interest.

CROSS-POST you say? Thank you

Im thinking a few posts a week to promote HIVE and SPinvest, offer free instant accounts for anyone that wants to try then after a few weeks start dropping earnings reports and yes dividend reports. I prob just drop screenshots and 2-3 lines and try to entice people to ask questions instead of putting all the info out there.

Reddit is blocked in our country from several years ago (which really annoying for me). I can't access it.

I've never explored readdit but I understand it is very well-used and has a high market valuation. I think it's a great idea to explore using it as a way of marketing spinvest and hive to new audiences.

The only thing that I wouldn't want to see is that it becomes part of the criteria for entering challenges or contests eg "post on reddit and include in your entry". I have no interest in other social media, I was so over twitter about ten years ago and I stopped my account on facebook about five years ago.
