Hello, welcome to this weeks SPinvest update. As always let's jump straight into it.

HIVE is mooning!
If you're reading this, im sure you are aware HIVE jumped 70% yesterday and went over 90 cents for a short time. This is fantastic and because we hold over 90,000 HIVE, the SPI fund increased it's dollar value by over $80,000 in under 24 hours. As a result, all off our non HIVE investments including exchange tokens have dropped in HIVE value overall reducing the SPI token HIVE price.

You can see each SPI token is valued at 3.13 HIVE today. This appears to be bad but if you look at the dollar value, it's increased 45% from yesterdays Total fund value of $195,000 so it's bittersweet but mostly sweet. Im sure tomorrow, HIVE will have a small correction to 70-80 cents and we'll see $20,000-40,000 wiped from the fund total but that all part of the game. If SPI tokens remain over $2.00 in value, i'll be very happy with that. It's only March and i think there's still lots of growth to take place before the bullrun ends, HIVE could go $3-5 at the height of it all. We'll need to wait and see, the past month has been super good to us, let's hope it continues.

Well, it's still not launched yet and there are no updates other than soon. The pre-sale for this ended 2 weeks back if my memory is right and SPinvest bought up 10% of Africa in the hopes of creating some sort of income for us. I dont mind the waiting but starting to get a little annoyed at there being no set date. In my mind, when the presale ends, the game should start are have a date for launch already planned. I see the same happen with splinterland lands, what happened to that? Anyways, we're looking forward to this game being released as its tokenomics is very interesting and I think it'll be a good time management farmer game plus we have spent over 1400 HIVE buying plots of land so we gonna start getting that put to use.

CUB Finance
SPinvest's harvesting rewards have dropped off massively since last Monday. I have been harvesting 24-36 hours and staking in the den. When we deposited 5 ETH on launch day, we ended up with 4.8 ETH staked after the 4% fee was removed. Because today is a fee-free day, I decided to convert today's harvest of around 30 CUB to ETH to repay a piece of that. We're still 0.12 ETH short but we have 760 CUBS for free so......

Hive-engine token's getting REKT
With the current spike in HIVE price, a lot of are all the important hive-engine tokens appear to be dropping in value massively. Do not worry, your tokens are not losing value, they are simply being revalued.

If for example, LEO/wLEO/bLEO is $1, when the HIVE is 50 cents, 1 LEO would cost 2 HIVE. When HIVE is $1, 1 LEO would cost 1 HIVE. When HIVE is 10 cents, LEO would cost 10 HIVE. You get the idea, right? So, because hive-engine tokens are valued in HIVE, we get these massive token price changes even if the dollar value remains stable. You can see in the above sample of the SPI token, that the dollar value has increased while the HIVE value has decreased.

When I was on hive-engine this morning and i saw LEO, SPI, LBI and BRO trading at -40%, i knew HIVE was up massively. I checked coingecko and seen HIVE plus 75%. These big price changes on the HIVE exchanges are not something to worry about.

wBTC/ETH Uniswap LP
I've been watching this the past few weeks and the ROI for it has really tanked to the point, it's not really worth it anymore. Im not thinking if pulling it right away as I'd like to watch it for another couple of weeks to see if it can go to over 10% again. I mean we could earn 5% holding on Nexo with no risk of impermanent loss. This is LP is worth almost $10,000 so i'd think to see it earning better for us, im hoping the ROI recovers but if it does not, we'll have to reallocate some BTC and ETH.

NFT's for SPinvest
Still trying to think of ways to introduce NFT's for SPinvest but can't think of any good use case. Maybe they not supposed to have use cases but gamifying a series are 2,3 are more could be fun. Like as an example, you create an NFT and sell 10 of them. You sell the first for 10 HIVE, the next one for 11 HIVE, next for 12 until they are all sold. The last one sells for 19 HIVE and sets the NFT token price. This gives an incentive for early buyers and as new series are released over time, older series with small mintage numbers become rarer and worth more.

As individual NFT's are easy to track compared to tracking individual SPI tokens, we could offer rewards to those that complete a series with virgin NFT's. Some sort of HIVE token pot that increases each reward claimed so that the last reward claimed is the highest amount. When an NFT's is used in a series to redeem the reward, it will have it's number logged and those NFT's will become unusable for redeeming rewards. This means each NFT would either be eligible (virgin) are non-eligible (non-virgin) to redeem rewards for completing a series. This add's another layer of value because when a person claims a reward for completing a series, those NFTs used to go from virgin NFT's to non-virgin reducing their value. So, do you collect the rewards for completing a series? or do hold onto virgin NFT's with a higher value with the hope the value will keep increasing as more virgin cards are used to redeem rewards.

If SPinvest release's any sort of NFT, it has to be more than a link to a JPEG imagine. We would have to gamify it somehow, anyways, thats my fart thought idea above, just off the top. Im sure we could think of something better together.

EDS miners still for sale
Dont forget EDS miners and get them while you can. EDS tokens ROI has increased to over 20% and will keep increasing as more mining are sold to over 25%. We have laid plans to create more miners after this first 2500 are sold. These new miners will be brand new miners with double are triple to mining power of EDSM. All mining rewards for current EDSM miners will not decrease, rewards are set and there is no reduction in mining rewards as new miners are issued. As more miners are sold, the ROI of EDS tokens will keep increasing. Sounds mad? check out @eddie-earner posts and see for yourself :)
