Threads Is Going To Be A Big Money Maker For Leo Holders

There is a lot going on with Leofinance. We all know this. However, we are about to see a massive transformation with the release of Threads.

While most are excited about it, there is a massive financial component to consider. Like many of the Leofinance projects, the goal is to continually generate revenue so as to be able to buy back the tokens. In some instances it is done to distribute to those who stake, as is the case with Polycub through the vexPOLYCUB vault.

In another, like with Cubfinance, the revenue generated is used to buy and burn the token. In that situation, it is $CUB.

There is another situation which is going to help all those who have Leo Power.

Leofinance Ad Revenue

Some months back it was announced that Leofinance, at some point, would begin to purchase $LEO on the open market and distribute it to those who were holding Leo Power. This is something that excited the community since it is a Web 3.0 concept. Those who are staked in the platform get to reap the benefits of the advertising that takes place on this. Of course, this is a proven model in Web 2.0, the difference being the money is not shared with the users.

With Leofinance it will be.

Some time ago, we set out to help drive more traffic to Leofinance by trying to optimize the content. This is a long term endeavor, something that takes months and a lot of effort to see results. Nevertheless, it is being added to regularly as a handful of people still are doing that with their articles.

Threads is going to take this to another level. It has likely flown under the radar the potential that can be added in this area.

Here is what was posted earlier today:

leoad.png

This is something to seriously consider. A lot of ad revenue is linked to page views along with time on the site. Since most people visit a site, click on a few pages and then leave, the time on site isn't that great.

Threads can change this completely.

As the image shows, the ad revenue was already impacted by Threads. The internal testing meant a lot more pages added as well as being viewed.

Here is a question: what happens if there are 10K Threads (along with responses) per day? What does that do to this model?

The internal group is about 5 people. Can you imagine if this number is 250 different individuals using the feature?

Keep in mind, this is a general use feature. It is not limited to the typical Leofinance subjects. It can be anything that people feel like sharing. Want to put up a picture of your dog or cat? Have at it. Send out a famous quote or tell us what you had for breakfast? Knock yourself out.

This is truly the early stages of "Twitter on the Blockchain".

$LEO Going To Skyrocket

Like many initiatives, there is enormous potential. With all that is taking place, it is easy to be optimistic with what Leofinance is doing. Threads is the first step in what many believe will eventually be the "Killer App" in cryptocurrency.

For this reason, $LEO is going to skyrocket. This is not financial advice but the sensible conclusion. We have a bunch of Leo Power. There are liquidity pools on both Polycub and Cubfinance that have pLEO and bLEO in them. Now there is an added incentive: ad revenue is going to increase nicely.

All of this is feeding into the same pot. $LEO is at the core of it all, the token that represents the value of the entire ecosystem. It is capturing financial input from all sectors of the platform.

For those who are not paying attention, what happens if the yearly ad revenue gets to a couple hundred thousand dollars? That is not a huge amount when you think about it. According to what was put out there, the ad revenue is already sitting around $3K-$4K per month. Threads can certainly pull in a 3x-4x based upon what we already saw.

Of course, all of this feeds into the rest of the Leo ecosystem.

What does the buying of a couple hundred thousands dollars do to the price of $LEO?

As Hannibal Smith of the A-Team famously stated: I love it when a plan comes together.

Threads was a long time in the making. It is an idea who's time is due. This is not only going to remake Leofinance but also Hive.

Hang on gang. The fun is just about to start.

With all this coming out I See things going back to normal even on a bear run.
It will take some time but that's why we are here, for the long term and I think this is why people got in here too.

That is what will create the "winners" down the road. Building during the bear and reap the rewards during the bull.

Like I've been saying for a LONG time ad revenue is what builds multi billion dollar companies and for some reason only LEO gets this and not hive or any other front end. It blows my mind because ad revenue is what gets paid back to content creators on youtube (at a VERY crappy rate might I ad) If you appled that to the crypto markets and gave 95% back to the content creators and kept just 5% for operating costs etc the platform would do amazing! I hope we see more of this happen on hive because this is what also gives serious value to a token and keeps it sustainable.

My biggest hope is that other projects see this being successful and copy the business model.

Success brees success and if other tribes and apps see this bringing in big revenue then they will get on board and push ad revenue as well.

That will push hive as more and more money floods into the user base who will inevitably buy some hive with it.

If Leo hits $2 I'm obviously going to put some of the profits back into my HP.

It is all a foundation that is being built that can funnel resources to people.

Also, it is all part of the Hive economy. So as others pull in money from outside, we can see how it feeds into those who are already participating.

Well the reality is the ad revenue model has to die at some point. That is all the internet is. However, as of now, it is what exists so I agree take advantage of it.

Marketing in general is going to have an entirely different approach under Web 3.0. Those companies who think ads will work in the future are going to find themselves amiss.

It is going to come down to community and cultivating that social layer with customers.

Yeah. Sure.
My RC used to be idle so I stared claiming new account tokens but if I feel the neede here then I will stop it and utilise it for leo threads.

We should be able to get to a point where ad revenue generates enough buybacks to essentially put a price floor under LEO.

The end goal doesn't need to be to moon price.

It just needs a sustainable floor! :)

Leo with a floor of 1 or 2 dollar this year would be a massive boost for the whole community.

Over time that would attract more users and hopefully keep moving up every single year like a good share as the site grows in popularity.

Crypto doesn't need moon prices. It needs real projects with good business models to give value to tokens.

Crypto doesn't need moon prices. It needs real projects with good business models to give value to tokens.

Actually it does if you look at crypto as being a referendum on value.

ProjectBlank can really bring something huge to the table. If Twitter is worth $20 billion or whatever Musk is trying to get it for these days, we certainly can see PB make Leo worth $20 million.

Couple that with all else that is tied to it and we can see how massive this can be.

That is true. I would say that it doesnt need to be a moon price but that is what I believe will happen. Threads is going to be a massive success (once fully developed). The traffic is going to be the best in crypto.

That will lead to a lot of buying. With the different options already in place for $LEO, we know things can get thin very quickly.

There is two things I cannot wait for: Leo Threads AND the iOS App of LeoFinance, which is still not live yet. Both have the potential to be a longterm game changer for our LeoFinance/Hive ecosystem. 📈

Vert excited for this concept to go live and see how it expands.

Ad revenue is a huge opportunity for all of the apps on hive and I'm very excited to see where this goes for leo.

Its what every front end should be doing and earning revenue.

It is an easy way for the Hive economy to expand. We will have to see the first payouts. Hopefully they will be substantial and get some people's attention.

The bottom line is traffic and Threads can start to generate that.

I didn't think it would affect ad revenue but it does make sense. So when Project Blank comes out, there will be quite a bit more as more users will be shown those ads. I just hope the ads aren't as instrusive.

I'm deeply suspicious of anyone in 2022 still thinking that Ad-supported apps are the way forward.

What I'd like to see is the Threads devs giving me a call about how to put Lightning value for value in from day one. That is going to be the web money standard that has a chance of gaining adoption. Obviously Hive people can give Hive and but I'd also like to see a move away from calling this "tipping".

Ask for tips, get tips, 10% to 15% of what you think you're worth.

As content creators we need to be saying to our audiences "how much do you value this content?". Pay what you think it is worth to you.

(Edited)

People and organizations will always be willing to pay for attention.

It is hard to grow your following organic.

I can see this grow into an engage2earn model where a new project could pay those that engage in threads on leofinance based on their time spent, quality of comments etc. Value for value would be great for that.

Along with upvotes ofcourse

Companies are not to the point of generating followings through social building measures.

They still go to what is known and Leofinance is taking advantage of that.

True, I can see this work very well in the coming decade. Lot’s of businesses keep doing what they have always done

That might be true but, at the moment, the internet is still filled with ads. So to say that it is the way forward might be misleading. It is the way now and, since the money is out there, time to take it.

v4v holds great potential especially for longer form content. Tipping, to my knowledge, hasn't really gone over that well with Twitter so far. Perhaps people will open up but paying directly for content might not be the future either.

After all, the Internet wants to make information free.

I'm waiting to see if I'll be able to log on from my iPhone. I can't log on to leofinance.io and the app is barely usable.

Hivesigner is useless on my phone as I always have to resubmit my posting key (Brave on iPhone).

I know I have very small Leo Power, but money is money. We are all excited about the launch tomorrow after waiting for close to 2 years!

Let us all hope for a successful grand launch tomorrow without hiccups because the whole community is excited and might destabilize the servers tomorrow hehe

It is going to be a scale down version. There isnt really much to it at the moment but it does have the basics.

From here, things will build. It is time to get something in the wild and see what results.

I believe threads will be of great impact to the development of Leo and is solely dependent on the community response which I know it will be great. Ad revenue will also have a major boost and helps in the buy back of Leo. Exciting times ahead.

This is insane!!! I'm feeling like Project Blank would be a huge hit bringing huge revenue when it launch. Hoping to see it before 2024 :)

I tend to agree. The big move will be when there is a push towards a standalone mobile application. That is when things might get crazy in terms of the numbers.

I thought that the ad revenue was used to burn leo 😅
I think the most important thing about threads is the fact that it is way more mobile-friendly than the traditional long-form content. It will attract a lot of new users that wouldn't join because they don't have a computer.

I actually had forgotten about this part and is definitely better than a kick in the pants. Like you say many of us have Leo Power staked and this should definitely help increase the value and why you should always think long term within a project as benefits do arise.
