You are confusing "vesting shares" (measured in "vests"/"megavests") with HivePower (HP). They're related, and one can be calculated from the other, just as 'meters' and 'centimeters' can be converted to the other.

As @nickyhavey said in his comment, a little over 5,000 HP makes you a Dolphin. You'll soon get your badge from @hivebuzz, and it could happen any time now! CONGRATS on reaching Dolphinhood! 🐬

Thanks for the additional info on the "vesting shares"!

I generally try to stay away from using that term and definition as I don't fully understand it myself - probably "intermediate to advanced" knowledge of the blockchain.

So I stick to HP and know that it is around the "5" number for the different levels, just add a 0 on depending on how high up you are 😃

Thanks @thekittygirl, for some reason I thought I had stellar memory from Steemit days, and remembered incorrectly. I thought the amount of vesting shares it took to dolphin-ize was roughly 10,000 HP + some change, but I am happily wrong.

I think I powered up 10 or so HIVE, reaching roughly 5,170HP when I received a dolphin notification last night.

So...done deal dolphinized!
