$650 worth of Game Curation Investment (35k SPT & 6k ONEUP Power)
The gaming industry has been hugely interrupted by blockchain technology and cryptocyurrency. As at today, the crypto powered blockchain game has a market capitalization of over $35 million source and that figure would be doubled in the next few weeks. It therefore would be wise to invest in that direction even as #play2earn and #gamefi are becoming trending words in the crypto sphere. Thanks that Hive blockchain have some interesting games that also affords us to earn cryto while we play.
It took 50 years (from 1970 to 2020) for gaming non-blockchain and non-crypto games to generate a revenue of $165 B according to Visual Capitalist, but it would take less than 10 years from crypto and blockchain powered games to double that figure. This is the positive disruption that crypto is trying to bring and game lovers are getting richer by the day. Yesterday, I shared how I got a passive $26 just for staking Splintertalk tokens (SPT). The stake of SPT is to enable me curate #splinterlands content and share in the profit the game brings since I cannot play the game actively.
Looking my game related investment in hive-engine, I discovered that my gaming curation tokens (ONEUP and SPT) are worth over $650 and my interest in the tokens can only be traced to two months ago. I'm yet to figure out the average returns from staking these tokens and using them for curation of gaming related contents on Hive. However, I'm still pressing ahead to add more gaming tokens to my stake.
With a present curation capacity of 6,000 ONEUP and 35,000 SPT, I think I'm around 60% away from my token staking targets for the month of November. I added 850 ONEUP and 2,000 SPT to my stakes today and still looking forward to growing the stake holdings to 10,000 and 50,000 respectively. For me, this is just the best time to continue staking these tokens as I see their prices go double and even 5x in the next few weeks.
On hive-engine. the market for ONEUP and SPT are still very solid and I am convinced that it could be sustained for long if at all it would ever go down. The lofty creation of the 1UP project by @Flauwy is a unique one and very timely as the gaming and play2earn has become the trending words in crypto sphere.
Growing my gaming curation portfolio is my priority at the moment before their prices so higher than one can imagine. With talks ongoing concerning intended cross-chain collaborations and partnerships through Splinterlands and 1UP community, one can be certain that these tokens won't be priced the same in the coming weeks. Wow what's crazy when I read this blog is that I am also somewhere near that and I started about 3 months ago. So far I found this pool not sure if you are familiar with it but what it will help you do is gain some OneUp reward daily for about 57 more days. Once all my Oneup is combined I should be near 5-7k not sure which amount because I still need to stake in 23,000 spt to the 17k I have in the pool right now. It's being unstaked right now just for the pool. Somehow I'm still getting airdrop points towards the sps not sure if this is intended or a bug.
I have some shares in the ONEUP: SPT pool. However, I prefer being more active with curation. You also have some decent SPT to stake and curate after LP rewards end from the dieselpool staking.
