3 Stocks Under $3 That I'm Buying Now

Here are three stocks that I'm buying right now that are price below $3. Needless to say, while stock prices have little bearing as to the quality of the underlying company, there is that psychological desire of owning more shares of something. To that end, here are some of the holdings that I remain excited about.

  • LightInTheBox Holding Co (LITB) - $2.56/sh ($286 mil market cap)
  • Fluent (FLNT) - $2.24/sh ($170.56 mil market cap)
  • Cedar Realty (CDR) - $0.86/sh ($76.75 mil market cap)

The Elevator Pitch

LITB is a Chinese e-commerce play with a reach across 200 countries. The company just flipped from years of losses into profitability this past quarter as the global Covid-related lockdowns brought users searching for online shopping options. The company grew revenue 96% to $114 million this last quarter alone suggesting the company's mere $286 million market cap might be quite mispriced to the company's potential.

FLNT is a big-data digital marketer that focuses on customer acquisition. The company is valued below its book value despite being a software platform with revenue almost double its current market cap. The company focuses on performance-based revenue which also makes it a safer form of revenue from the perspective of clients.

CDR is a commercial retail REIT that has been hard hit due to its ownership of shopping centers. Yet despite the association, the company is largely dependent on e-tail grocery-anchored shopping centers which have actually performed well during this business lull. Despite already reducing their dividend (rather than cutting it outright), the company currently supports an annual yield of 4.5%. Additionally, its priced at a whopping 25% of its book value.
