The Way Cryptos Are Found Needs To Change

My current crypto gripe has got to reside in the way that coinmarketcap and coingecko and all the listing aggregators compile their lists of cryptos. Given how influential these lists can be for this niche community, what's disappointing is that no method of compilation or organization has replaced the massive name dump that these listing sites offer. As a result, a mindless amount of tokens have started to fill up the Top 100 displacing actual blockchain projects that are differentiated and unique.

How many erc-20 tokens are there on these lists? How many of those spots on the Top 100 have these projects taken to displace HIVE down to the Top 200 list?

It would be far more fair to have a drop-down list of sort where actual blockchains like Ethereum can have their respective tokens sub-listed for search purposes.

Until this changes, it seems more unfortunate that a ton of over-hyped projects will continue to displace blockchains with actual unique operational value that may not have yet been found because they weren't formed on an erc-20.
