It must seem this way, sometimes, when we look life straight in the face and see only pain. And that is the lot for some people. It's hard to accept it in a story. Stories make us feel better. They take us away from what ails us. But sometimes stories tell a different truth. This is one of those stories.
Your writing is brilliant. You carve every sentence perfectly. Sometimes the knife cuts deeply though.

It is this truth I seek. I feel as though every person carries a longing, a trauma with them through life. This is never satisfied and the pursuit of its satisfaction only brings more pain.
