“Let thy will be done”
Pastor Nancy remained speechless as she walked home.The news she had just gotten from pastor caleb's office was too devastating for her to bear.She was finding it difficult to believe what she has just seen.
“This must be a joke.Pastor Caleb must have been pranking me.” She thought to herself. There was no way a lady who had barely started attending the church two months ago was going to take what she has been praying for over a year now.
“He is going to call me any moment from now and tell me is all a joke. pastor Nancy said to herself hopefully. But by the time she got home, the realization of everything started coming to her. Maybe she had indeed lost Pastor Caleb to this new lady.
Pastor Nancy remembered how she had turned down countless suitors because of the revelation she thought she had in form of a dream.
In her dream. She had seen herself getting married to Paste Caleb but unlike the usual traditional rite where the man gets to pay the bride price, she had seen herself instead paying the groom price of Pastor Caleb. At first she didn't understand what the dream meant but everything was beginning to get clearer.
She had hoped God will reveal the same thing to Pastor Caleb but until now she didn't realize the reason she was the one paying the groom price in the dream was because she was meant to tell Pastor Caleb how she felt towards him.
And now this morning,Pastor Caleb had called her to his office where she had met a lady whom he had revealed to her as his wife to be. Pastor Caleb had invited Nancy to his office to know if she could officiate his wedding, her dream man wanted her to help him to Wed someone.
Of course she had agreed to do it but if only she had been bold enough to tell the Pastor how she felt then she would have been the one putting on the engagement ring.
But even as Pastor Nancy thought about it now, all she could say was
“Lord let thy will be done.”
The conflict in this story is not external, it occurs within the protagonist. Pastor Nancy struggles to accept an unpleasant truth. This is a struggle we all face many times in our lives. She resolves her conflict with resignation. The reality is not what she wished for, but her religion allows her to live with the unpleasantness. You handle Nancy's internal dialogue well.

A touching story.
It would be really painful to officiate the wedding of the one you love. I can't begin to imagine what Nancy would be feeling.
But you capture that feeling very well, with her resignation and acceptance of her fate.

Well done with the believable conflict in this story, @nazzyvic. We can imagine the terrible shock Pastor Nancy must have experienced in learning that Pastor Caleb is in love with someone else. But it also shows her depth of character that she is willing to officate the wedding!
