RE: Hidden Tears

This story is strong on scene and character analysis. As the narrator vacillates, as she wavers between commitment and friendship, we relate to her dilemma. It is such a human reaction. Relationships are complex in real life, and this feels real.

Then end is a balanced. appropriate conclusion to the uncertainty of the narrator. It is evident Dennis has been struggling with the same emotions, the same conflict. This is the kind of end that is definitive and yet leaves the possibility for growth.
