Así que hoy quiero compartir con ustedes, la valiosa información que aprendí en un curso de primero auxilios impartido por la Cruz Roja Venezolana. QUEDATE para que te enteres de mi experiencia.

So today I want to share with you, the valuable information I learned in a first aid course given by the Venezuelan Red Cross. STAY to learn about my experience.

Todo empezó, cuando mi mamá vio en Instagram una publicación de la cruz roja que hacía propaganda de sus cursos de primero auxilios, ella nos comento y de inmediato llamamos para obtener mayor información. Yo siempre había querido aprender sobre la atención primaria en caso de emergencias y urgencias, pero cuando me encontraba estudiando ingeniería tenía el tiempo limitado y además tenía actividades extracurriculares, como el canto coral y se me hacía difícil realizar actividades fuera de la universidad.

It all started, when my mom saw on Instagram a publication of the red cross advertising their first aid courses, she commented us and we immediately called to get more information. I had always wanted to learn about primary care in case of emergencies and emergencies, but when I was studying engineering I had limited time and also had extracurricular activities, such as choral singing and it was difficult for me to do activities outside the university.

Por fin, había llegado el día, y sin buscarlo apareció el anuncio. Me inscribí junto con mi hermano @reinoldroberts y esperamos el día con ansias, sobre todo yo me sentía así. La noche anterior al curso, es decir, el 13 de abril nos enviaron a través de WhatsApp una guía de 55 hojas, jaja yo estaba en shock, porque tenía tiempo sin estudiar y la verdad uno pierde la costumbre, más sin embargo, revise las primeras paginas para no llegar tan perdida. El curso fue impartido 2 días seguidos, miércoles 14 y jueves 15 de abril, en un horario de 8 AM a 4 PM, con una hora de descanso de 12 M a 1 PM, para almorzar, cabe destacar que cada persona tenía que llevar su almuerzo.

Finally, the day had arrived, and without looking for it the announcement appeared. I signed up along with my brother @reinoldroberts and we looked forward to the day, especially I felt so. The night before the course, that is, on April 13, we were sent via WhatsApp a 55-page guide, haha I was in shock, because I had been some time without studying and the truth is that one loses the habit, but nevertheless, I reviewed the first pages to not get so lost. The course was given 2 days in a row, Wednesday April 14 and Thursday April 15, from 8 AM to 4 PM, with an hour break from 12 M to 1 PM, for lunch, it should be noted that each person had to bring their lunch.

El precio del curso era una colaboración de 5000 pesos colombianos, que en dólares equivale a aproximadamente 1,42$. Lo mejor de todo, es que la Cruz Roja te otorga una certificación de Primeros Auxilios si apruebas el examen teórico - práctico. Este se realiza una semana después de asistir al curso y se aprueba con una calificación a partir de 14 puntos en la escala del 1 al 20. Esta semana el 23 de abril presento mi prueba, así que aprovechare estos días para practicar lo aprendido y reforzar los conocimientos.

The price of the course was a collaboration of 5000 Colombian pesos, which in dollars is equivalent to approximately $1.42. Es importante resaltar, que esta organización internacional, dicta constantemente estos cursos en 2 bloques por semana, los días miércoles y jueves y los días sábado y domingo, así que si estas interesado, solo tienes que revisar las redes sociales de la cruz roja y averiguar si en tu ciudad también ofrecen este beneficio.

Llegado el momento, asistimos al primer día el 14 de abril, con las expectativas altas y las ganas de aprender, los instructores eran súper carismáticos, y el aprendizaje fue super efectivo, o por lo menos lo fue para mi hermano y para mí. En un próximo post les contaré sobre el contenido del curso y el programa de contenidos que aprendimos.

When the time came, we attended the first day on April 14, with high expectations and the desire to learn, the instructors were super charismatic, and the learning was super effective, or at least it was for my brother and me. Por último, no sabes que tan valiosa es una información, hasta que la estudias y la pones en práctica. Saber de primeros auxilios considero que debe ser un tema que deberíamos manejar todos. La buena practica de atención primaria en una emergencia, es vital a la hora de salvar una vida, recuerda que no estamos exentos de sufrir una emergencia, y la seguridad y el conocimiento pueden ser la clave para preservar la vida, de nuestro familiar, amigo, o cualquier persona que lo necesite.

Finally, you don't know how valuable a piece of information is until you study it and put it into practice. I believe that first aid knowledge should be a subject that we should all be familiar with. The good practice of primary care in an emergency is vital when it comes to saving a life, remember that we are not exempt from suffering an emergency, and safety and knowledge can be the key to preserve the life of our family member, friend, or anyone in need.
