An experience I had about bad parenting

Hello my beautiful friends on hive, happy new week to you all hope you all had a peaceful night rest? Well I did myself and I thank God for making it possible for me to see this day.

Today marks three(3) month after I lost a friend, the thought that his no more makes me feel so sad 🙁 😭 this day is very close to my heart, every 24th of every month after he died I do wake up with tears in my eyes, I kept on wishing I had the power to turn back the hands if time, I would have been very strict and make sure he's on the right track even if it's at the expense of my happiness I would have sacrifice that for his sake.

Have kept this experience to myself for so long and its eating me up, I think it's time to ease myself of this burden and by so doing I want to pass a message to our parent 👨‍👧‍👦 all around the world, please with a heavy heart am pleading with all parent to go out of there ways if necessary to raise up there children not just in the right way but in a Godly way 🙏 because at the end you'll reap what you've sowed in that child's life be it good or bad, and the fact is you can't sow a bad seed and expect to reap good ones its just not possible so in ever way you can as a parent, please try and install good values into you children so they will be of great benefit to you when they grow up.

I had this experiences when I was living with my mom's friend and her family, actually the reason why I went to live with them was that there house was very close to where I was admitted to do a two year sewing course to be a fashion designer, so I went to stay with them and have lived with them for 2years and during that period of my staying with them, I had so many issues with her son Emma, he was very arrogant and ignoring so disrespectful since from when he was still a kid his father told me so and from what i witness, he was so rude and insulting even to his own dad just because he doesn't support his ill-mannered behaviors coupled up with the fact that his mom has been the one managing the expenses of the house they were living in not his dad giving the health challenges his dad has been facing after he had an accident and wasn't physical strong again to do much work for there family as to put food on the table, he was a mechanical engineer by profession, he worked on cars and large engines and he was really doing well financial to the point he opened a well stocked boutique with full accessories inside it for his wife, and they were all living well financially up on till when the man had a terrible accident and he became handicapped.

As well as a liability to his wife, who took up the responsible to provide for the family. She gradually became too proud to be consistent, she only gives the husband food to eat when ever she's feels like and his mom never rebukes or caution him not to do wrong instead she supports every act of his be it good or bad simple because his her only child so she over pampered him too much! And caused a lot of damage to his future.

when I moved in with them, it was really hard to understand Emma, though with time we gelled up and he became my friend during that period I let him have his way even if he slaps me I don't lash it back at him I just let it slide, I tried using the closer we became to my advantage, I tried installing good values into him but to non avail he kept on saying i had no right to caution him since his mom is okay with how he is so who am I to talk to him i had to back off i didn't want create problems for myself while staying with them so they might not send me away. Most times if the father is rebukes him his mother get so angry with the dad for shouting at him so Emma used that as an advantage to do what he liked.

So now providing for the family was on the mom who's boutique business was still flourishing so at a point she stopped and was no longer taking care of her husband again because he doesn't support Emma's bad behaviors. She thought her husband hated Emma but the man was just trying to put Emma on the right track, the father tried to make him change for good but the mother was too much of an influence to him than that father, giving the fact that Emma loved his mom so much and was so attached to her.

The hatred the mother and son developed for the father make them stop taking care of him, the drugs he normally take for recovery was no longer given to him, the food he ate to help boost his nutrient were not given to him, that was how the man struggled to survive by himself which was impossible at that state of his, few weeks later he died.

After the man died, things became so terrible, Emma turned from bad to worst, he started sleeping over at his friend's place, he sometimes comes home late, he shouts at his mom if she tries asking where his come from so late, he started coming back home with gangs that weren't descent in dressing, he mingled with them and got so spoiled, i was so shocked one day when I went to sit out with him cause I was feeling bord alone, i searched and I found him at the backyard smoking 🚬
i was so shocked 😲, at that point i i thought of just leaving the house because i felt it wasn't safe for me anymore,he also start stealing money from the house when his mom is out and when the mom finds out her money is missing she'll always say am the one that stole it, even when she knows it her son all this act happened right before the mother's eyes and she kept on saying his her only child he should do what ever he likes, her money is also his money, he shouldn't caged, he should be allow to enjoy himself and have fun.

So Emma kept on still his mom's money until this wasn't thesame anymore, his mom's boutique business started facing losses, the money got finished and the business needed money to sustain it.

When money was no longer there for Emma to steal he starting selling off little items from the house just to live up to the expectation of his friends. While the mom started loaning money from organizations and gave her house as a collateral but yet the money was still not enough to start up the business again.

Few weeks passed Emma never returned home again, she was worried and I too was worried so one night there was a massive robbery at a fuel station ⛽️ near our house, when the robbery was taking place,maybe someone informed the police and they immediately came, according to what one of the staffs told is the following morning, she said those robbers shoot 3 staffs and when the police 🚓 came, some who had experience ran away and the police managed to catch two of them, took them to the station. We were still worried to as where Emma was we started putting calls to his friend's who we thought he might be with them but to non avail. One day we were just at home when we heard a knock at the gate I went and it was the policemen 🙆‍♂️ I was suspicious to as what the policemen came for so I followed them inside and we all found out that Emma was one of the robbers that robbed that fuel station ⛽️ according to them we should come and identity his face, the mom vented, few minutes she came around and we went with the policemen and we found out it was Emma at that point nothing could be done, the case was charged to court 👨‍⚖️ no money for Emma's mom to take a lawyer and it's all ended for Emma when the judge sentenced him to life in prison, we couldn't do anything. Few weeks later he was to be shot by firing squad, they tied him to a tree and asked him to make a final wish so he pleaded for him to see his mom for the last time before he dies.

They sent for us, when we arrived there, the state I saw Emma left me shocked 😭 this mom was just crying, regrating. So Emma asked the mother to come close he wanted to say something to her when the mother went to him, he asked to whisper something into her ears so the mother bend down to hear him and then he bite his mother's ears so hard and she struggle out her ear from his mouth, lots of blood was jus popping out. The policemen asked why he did that to his mom and he said it because of her that his in this state, he said if only she had rebuked him and make him stop doing something maybe he would have been somewhere else not here and he said if only he had listened to his dad's advice that things wouldn't have been deferent today. Finally he was shot dead, we came back home and I packed my bags and left .

Few months later I went to visit her and I found out that she had died and there house and cars were taken by the organization she loaned money from and she couldn't pay back, and she drank poison and died.

A quick advice to all parent please try to raise your child not just to be a good person but to have the fear of God because that fear of God will guild him/her to make the right decisions at all times even in your absent. In our world today 90% of our children are attached to there mothers so mothers please try to set your child on the right track no matter what it might cost you, some mothers might say its my only child, I suffered alot giving birth to him really? Now let's be realistic is there any child that falls down from heaven? Don't others suffers too in child birth? But they still try as much as possible to make sure that child attends success in life a good mother will do so because one single mistake can wipe out the hole family just like what happen to this family.
