Rendezvous With Dream

Do you feel like you have derailed from what you have set out to do? Got off of your destined path and landed somewhere else? In many cases, these incidents make our lives for the better, but often time it also happens that people feel like they have lost themselves.

People run after money, fame, and success. It just so happens that they completely ignore their passion and try to get to success through shortcuts. Eventually, these shortcuts lead to failure. Often it also happens that these people completely change from how they used to be. They become unrecognizable to their loved ones. Now, running after money, fame, and success isn’t a bad thing. It’s a good thing. But if we don’t even try to achieve all of those through our dream job or project, is it meaningful at all?

Should the passion be sacrificed at the altar of achievements? Why can’t we combine them?

It’s not that we willingly give up on your passionate dream project. Sometimes it is our fault that we prioritize other stuff over our dreams and sometimes life just moves in a different direction. It’s not often in our hands what happens with our life and how it turns out to be. But if our heart calls out to our dream, we should hear it and find ways to make it into a reality.

Being successful by making our dream project come true sounds wonderful, right? So why not dust up your dream work and see what you can make out of it. I know it’s not going to be an easy start but let’s start anyway.

Set Your “Me Time”: This is your own personal time. Do what you want with it. Relax, have fun a little, go through your old pet projects for a while. Just see what you can do and don’t overthink too much. You won’t figure out everything in one day but the moment you decide that you’ll chase your dream, everything will change.

Find the Right Project:Now, now you know you don’t have just one pet project. You have multiple plans lying around and some even overlap with one another. So how do you pick the right project? Some of those plans are easy and some are hard. So, how to pick the right one? The right one will always be the one that calls out to you more, the one that makes you think is almost unachievable but it still lingers. All these preparations are for that project.

Create Your Dream-board: Make a big planning board and name it Dream-board. This is where you’re going to keep track of where your plan is heading and where you need to go. This board is your guide. Use sticky notes and colored pens, anything that you need to start.

Develop A Master Plan: The project that you have chosen to follow through, now is the time to complete your unfinished research. Gather your pen and papers, browse through the web, talk to the people involved in such projects. And write little pieces of information on those sticky notes of your Dream-board. Write it step by step so that you don’t fall out of your path.

So now that you have formed your plan, your next step is to follow through. The road ahead is not easy; you’ll be struggling a lot. You’ll face hopelessness and at times you’ll feel like throwing it all away. Just remember why you decided to follow your dreams. Prepare yourself, not run away in the face of adversity.

When the time comes that you’ve reached your destination, you’ll be over the moon and you’ll be glad that you decided to follow through.
