Why We Need Twitter account?
Most of us use various social media platforms to connect with our friends across the world. In 21st-century social media is playing a vital role in our lives and we do a lot of activities every day on these platforms. We have dozen of platforms available and few of them are quite popular like Facebook Twitter Instagram etc.
There are so many platforms but the question is that do we really need a social media account to have a connection with people or it's just an advantage of the internet which we use to spend some time in the name of having a connection with our near and dear ones. I think nowadays it's more subjective and everyone has their own thoughts about it.
Passes of time things have also upgraded and earlier we used to say that social media platforms are a way to connect with our friends and relatives. But now things have gone to the next level and most of these platforms have become a place to promote business and products. Even for these platforms, this promotion is one of the biggest sources of income.
Portals like Facebook and YouTube are full of ads and there is no way that we can avoid so we are kind of audience for these platforms through which they are making a good amount of money.
Certainly, we can have an account on any platform that we like and even people are having multiple accounts on the same platform but I think having an account on Twitter is a way better and helpful for various reasons.
- If you are a blogger or content creator then you can share your post with the people and there is also an option to promote your blocks with a bigger audience which can help you to get more visibility on your blocks.
- In many countries almost all the govt departments have their Twitter handles and they are quite active as well. Its easy to get reach out to them and get their help easily.
- Twitter is a platform where we have character limit so here no need to go through lengthy posts and in limited words, we can share the content with people or even can go through of others.
- Many Crypto and blockchain projects are in twitter and sharing all their progress and updates to keep the people informed.
We work on Hive which is a decentralized social media platform but its in the initial phase where we are not even 2 million active users where twitter has daily active users of almost 150 million worldwide. Looking at the other side it certainly opens an opportunity for us to promote the hive there. In fact, many users are doing it already and making hive popular in twitter through their promotion.
Twitter is the another place where I am more active after Hive and whoever is not having a twitter account, I am sure sooner or later they will have because it would not be easy to stay away for long.

how come?
Basically my feed was full of content coming from people I didn't follow. Since you see every like and retweet and even comments that people leave to other people on Twitter. It was simply a place where I would go just to get mad and furious either along with others or at others.
So I quit, I got tired of all of that. I could have cleaned up my feed, I know, but I couldn't justify the effort for a social network where I had 12 followers.
Maybe I'll go back at some point, but with a new account an I'll be much more careful about whom I follow.

Twitter is nice but we need to follow the people who don't spam to keep our feed clean. May be next time you can try this way to have a nice experience with twitter.

I like Twitter for some things, but what I don't like is how yellow its news is and that it's full of fake news.
