It's always interesting to read how some other country is dealing with economic problems... Actually, it would be great if Columbia could be a self-sustained country... As a matter of fact, in not that far history, a lot of countries were a self-sustained, which means that it is POSSIBLE to do... I don't say that we should isolate ourselves from the rest of the world, just saying that the image that is put to us about "not possible to live without China" (for example) is a lie...

The same thing is happening all around the world... It looks that only the cheapest workforce countries CAN do things, and others can't...

We will see how will all this thing develop in the future, as this what you wrote is just a beginning...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and info about the situation in Columbia...

"not possible to live without China"
Tremendous phrase, full of so much lie, but they have made it believe as something real.

What I see happening is also that there are big interests behind the imports. Here they have created a legal framework that makes imports very easy to perform. On the other hand, to open a business, it is a big, terrible bureaucratic procedure that can take up to months to be done. After all that, comes the fact that having a business the amount of imposed, regulations, etc, is complex.

On the other hand, the holders of great capitals manage to invest their millions to bring and resell, thus removing the problem of having to have a physical business as such, and what it brings in itself. They just buy, sell, and go.
Those who can do these things are always related to the politicians, who make the rules... This is my vision, or part of it, in relation to this reality...

and if instead of aiming at self-sufficiency we aim at a global integration like the European Union.
