Life Changes Because of Covid in 2020

Hello and namaste Everyone

I hope that you are doing good and staying safe in the current covid-19 pandemic situation.

It has been almost six months' time we have been going through tough times in the form of lockdown and some other forms by the government and relevant authorities to control the spread of covid-19. During this situation, there have been many changes in our lifestyle and the way we spend our day at home. It has also changed the way of study and from the lockdown start in March until now classes have been running remotely and online.

Because of this change in the online study, it took much time for parents because we need to spend time with our kids during the study they are not in the physical class and can only teach virtually. I was working at home for a fashion designing project and because of lockdown, I am not able to work on this.

Earlier my kid used to go for school in the morning so I was getting about 4-5 hours to work on many things but now because of online classes, this time is gone. Since small kids are not capable to manage the online class all alone so someone has to help them and the same is happening with me. Looking at the current situation it looks like this year it will be the same and maybe next year I can hope for something to improve.

I am also affected by my work as earlier I used work from home fro fashion designing and now because of lockdown it's not possible to visit the office to get the work. Not all the work can be done from home because in my work it's needed to collect the designs and prepare. Although there is no restriction in travel and movement now and even transport services are resumed its highly risky to go outside. As of now, I don't want to take any risk and prefer to stay home

In India, cases are increasing every day and in Delhi also every day almost 2k new covid cases are getting added. I see that people are going out for their work because it's obvious that it's not possible for everyone to stay home for long because of my responsibilities and commitments. I understand that health is important than anything else but sometimes it's difficult to choose health and I think there are many people who are going through the same situation.

For now, I am not in a hurry to start work and will stay home for some more time, and once this situation improves then only I will think of doing it once again. Few things in life just come all of sudden but this COVID has made life terrible and the only thing we have with us is HOPE. Hope that it will be better soon and we get our previous life back.

Thank you so much, everyone.

I am fascinated by this post because of the originality of your writing, that for me is very valuable. The other thing to consider is that you relate your experiences because of the pandemic, I imagine how hard this topic is in a country of so many inhabitants as India, the only good thing I think of your country in comparison to my country Venezuela is that there I do not believe that the electrical service fails, here the failures of the service make the virtual distance education very difficult, and here a very bad service of Internet exists, but good we continue fighting to pass all this topic.

Greetings and thanks for commenting.

Hello @reeta0119
The truth is, I don't think we can go back to the way we were before the pandemic. Things have changed drastically, and deep down each of us have changed too.

Hi @josevas217
Looking at the current scenario it seems that we are not going to get previous life back and whatever you said is right. Covid has changed things drastically indeed. Thanks.

I believe it's going to take time, but life will eventually get back very close to what it was before the pandemic. Our perspective about it and our habits, though, will bear the change for much longer. In some cases it will be beneficial as certain routines - which were limiting without us even knowing - will be broken forever.

Good article, this is a period of many changes and the truth is not as bad as we perceive it.
