Risingstar is much more fun when you acutally log in.png

In the discord channel of liotes there are plenty of discussions about games like Splinterlands or Risingstart and we also have some evenings when members make giveaways with cards from these games.

I'm a very devout Splinterlands player. I probably played the game almost every day for a long time. However each time people speak about Risingstar, I'm quite lost because so far I didn't play this game.

Yesterday I finally started to play Risingstar...

Why I discarded the game the first time?

I remember when Risingstar came out, I tried it out... Well let's say I tried to try it out. Yesterday I realized that I didn't understand the game the first time around because... I actually hadn't logged in...

I remember I was clicking around and couldn't find any menu. I thought I had logged in but apprently I didn't manage to do it... and I had the feeling that it was a very poor user experience.

Well when you actually log into the game it's quite different !

My first steps into the game

So yesterday I actually managed to start to play the game and I have to say that it looks much more complicated than it really is. The game is built in a way that your choices are limited and like that you do the missions in a specific logical order.

In a nutshell for the people who are not on Risingstar yet, you have missions that require a certain amount of fans, a certain level, time and energy. You can only take a mission if all these requirements are met. For every completed mission you get some starbits (the currency of the game) and some experience points. Randomly a mission can also give you some pizza that fills up your energy tank and you can also get fans, coffee, beer...

With every mission you take, your energy is draining but it regenerates over time. A mission takes a certain time to complete and you can then start a new one if you have enough energy.

Once you have a higher level you can also take some music lessons that will improve your skills.

Still a lot of things I have no idea about

After playing the game a bit I watched a cool video by my friend @pixiepost where she talks about the game. Watching the video made me realize that I still had a lot of things to figure out about risingstar. What are the cards about? What is the Ego stuff? Well I will probably need some more studying :-).

Anyways, I'm happy that I started to play this game and I'm looking forward to discover all about it!

Welcome back.
I hope you will enjoy and be motivated to play the game.
I have been playing this game from a few months now.
I know it could be confusing in the start as there are a lot of things involved.
And you do not have to worry about ego if you have not completed 15 levels.
You will get it as you progress in the game.
I would suggest to go through the FAQs as they have a lot of information.

I have a had a very good time to play the game so far. After my embarrassing first try, it's actually quite nice and I believe I will learn along the way:-). Thanks a lot for your comment and for the FAQ tip!

Welcome to risingstar, Achim. (@achim03)
I remember my starting days, i was not sure what i was doing, but, once i understood it i am enjoying the game.
Ego is not that bad, as long as you can tame it :-)
I am still learning though.

Welcome back! I have been playing for 7 months and still learning about the mechanics of it, but logging in daily and grinding missions helps.

I believe it's quite straigtforward because you need to take one mission at a time and need to wait to reach levels to unlock higher missions. So far I'm enjoying it :-)

It's really straight forward. You basically just come back every now and then. There are no complicated factors until you reach level 15 or 1k fans for ego. When you do have a question, feel free to ask because someone will answer when they see it.

Personally I would think cold pizza slices and pizza boxes are the best so you can continue doing missions without waiting.

Thanks a lot for the tips. How do you get the pizzas? Man I'm a big noob lol

You can buy them using Starbits. It is 10k for a cold pizza slice (one free energy bar every 24 hours) and 7.5k for a pizza box (stores a discarded pizza). You need the starbits in HE so you need to withdraw it from the game and you need to verify your account in discord to have NFTs show up.

If the store is out of pizzas, drop a comment in discord and they will refill it (the ones that sell for starbits).

Ok thank you for this! I'll start by verifying my account. Thanks a lot!

This was funny!

Yeah, I haven't even gone that far. I just haven't tried it because I thought (and still do) that I don't have enough time for another game. Maybe I'm wrong since you made this move and you have liotes and ctpsb on your plate too.

Yea it was a bit an embarassing realisation lol.

At the moment my governement forced me to close my offline business. So I have quite a lot of time to discover stuff on Hive :-)

I am super excited you are starting to dive into this game now...it is so fun to play & the @risingstargame community is awesome as well... :) There is a bit of a learning curve, but it's much easier to understand & I have no doubt you will catch on quickly....

The ego will be something you will start encountering after you hit Level 15 or have 1000 fans (whichever comes first) so until then, doing the missions and building up your Starbits and levels are a good way to go! I have a funny story about Ego, which I will share with you sometime lol ....

Thanks for the mention & kind words! Always remember you are now officially a STAR!!! 💜
