Watching TV can be very informative about current events and a great source of information about many Medical issues. Many Local News Channels especially, and Netflix of course! Today I learned about an illness that I knew very little about.

Also Today is "National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day" 🤒 on the "National Holiday" Calendar for Wednesday 12th May 2021. So I thought it would be good to know much more about this very serious Medical condition.

Here are some important facts...

"Fibromyalgia" is a muscular condition that causes extreme pain in most of the body (especially in the muscle areas). The most obvious symptoms are fatigue, anxiety, migraine, irritable bowel syndrome, skin sensitivity, insomnia, numbness, and stiffness of the joints.

Many people who suffer from "Fibromyalgia" are either completely unaware of the exact cause, and sometimes even misdiagnosed by Doctors.

So this event Today is important to create a better understanding, and hopefully more awareness of the condition. Sadly, there is no known permanent cure to this illness. Much more research is desperately needed for sure...
