Interview with Jux, artist and developer of Rising Star!

PRRRRRR!

Since I like to play, I will be a music promoter for artists outside of the game as well, so this is the reason for this initiative.

Today I have put on my interviewer hat and from now on you are going to enjoy something really amazing, a cycle of interviews with the musicians who make life in Rising Star, who have amazing jobs, the content is magnificent and I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my human have done it.

In addition to all this, you should know that this publication will have 1 Cold Slice of Pizza as a free gift, which will be donated to a winner chosen at random using the hive app to select the comment that earns it.

The Cold Pizza Slice NFT will be awarded by Jux where I receive the payment of this publication. To participate you only have to leave your rising star user in the comments, make a comment writing "Jux" and tell something about his work, and say me what you think of this interview.

The winner will be chosen using the Hive random comment tool.And it will be published in a comment on this publication. The comments that will participate in the raffle will be valid until I notify you through a comment that no more entries are validated. So today our guest is Jux, a superstar, impressive artist and developer of Rising Star. I invite you to know what he has to say, in a very interesting interview loaded with many delicious chords ænd melodies.

It's very simple, I hope you enjoy it, so let's get started!

How are you today?

  • Feeling energised!

Where do you get all your energy? - Share with us

  • I've always been obsessed with the science of health and diet. I've read and experimented with many different types of lifestyle to try and find what is optimal for my energy levels. I've tried everything from ultra low carb to 3 day fasting and many other things. I like to keep active and right now that means "bouldering" (indoor climbing without ropes), parkour training (basically jumping on and off of things!) and walking my dog every day.

You do a lot of activities and it shows that you lead a very active lifestyle. Do you have a space in your home for bouldering?. The audience would like to see a photo of that. And they would also love to see a photo of your pet, if you want to share it.

  • No I go to a specialist bouldering gym in Brighton here in the UK.

How long have you been practicing this sport? . I love heights, well it's obvious, I'm a cat.

  • I went a few times with my son a few years ago but due to Covid he is now home full time again so now we are going a couple of times a week. So I am very new to it.

The covid has changed the lives of all of us. I imagine you are working, what are you doing at Rising Star today Saturday?

It's night time in the UK and I am just about to go to bed so not doing anything other than answer your questions.


Are you working on new features for the game?

  • We are getting ready for the launch of the Festival World Tour on Tuesday. We have a lot more ideas for the future but we will probably be working on Piano Lesson crafting next before deciding on which of our ideas to work on as the next big feature. Some of the code I had to develop for the World Tour open up a lot of possibilities for some exciting features in the future too.

This is very good and exciting news, which is sure to bring many smiles in the community, thank you very much on behalf of the players for the great job you do. Like everyone else, I'm really looking forward to the festival! But moving on to something else Have you got a favorite song you have created?

  • That's a tough one. I have released six albums so far and also tens of collaborations with other musicians from Hive and Atom Collector Records. I would say my personal favourite is "Shoreline", a collaboration with my good friend Grand Space Adventure.

This song is a work of art, a beauty and it has moved me a lot, it really made me want to cry, I felt it deeply. Thank you for sharing this wonder, I appreciate it very much.

I am guessing you haven't done any Collabs, is there anyone you would like it to work with on game programming or songs you have in mind?

  • My songs evolve through jamming rather than having any kind of a plan. Who would I like to work with? Well I can dream and say Thom Yorke can't I!

How did you discover the music world and what do you use to inspire you and compose your music?

  • I grew up in England during the 70s so was exposed to the amazing period of punk and all the musical eras that followed. Music changed so fast that it was impossible to get bored as there was so much experimentation going on. So music is in my blood but I went down the career route and then family and so never had time to make my own music.
  • I actually only started making music about 5 years ago when I discovered something called "Garageband" on the Mac. It has this amazing feature called a "session drummer" which is like having your own drummer that you can order about! Once I started jamming with my guitar along with the session drummer I was hooked! My vocals have developed over those 5 years as I have experimented with my range and musical styles.
  • Most of my inspirations in subconscious as I just start with the drums and jam until I hear something I like. If I was to say I was inspired by one band it would have to be Radiohead though.
    I asked Grand Space Adventure to record a selection of piano tracks for me and then I wrote the lyrics and sang on the track in one evening. There are a few of us in the Atom Collector Records community who work like this.

It was a pretty quick process. Does the community want to know if you dedicate exclusively to music or do you have any profession with which you earn a living? .Do you have any interest in crypto or just HIVE/STARBITS?

  • I am fascinated by crypto and blockchain and Rising Star was my way to learn all about it. I have spent my entire career working in software (business systems mainly) and I absolutely love coding!

Do you collect other peoples songs ?

  • I get bored with music quite quickly so the answer to this would be different from month to month although I never tire of Thom Yorke and Radiohead.

Tell us something random about yourself ?

  • I once tried to start a mealworm farm to convert to flour for human consumption. Insects are actually an amazing food and could solve a lot of problems in the world but we need to get over the "yuk" factor!

I really liked the interview, the way you approached it and the questions, it is always good to know who is behind the name. Rising Star without a doubt is and will be an NFT's game that will revolutionize and revolutionize chain games of this type. I did the interview from my scratcher while I scratched with my paws to remove the stress of the day.
Jux is very impressive, I suggest you listen to the song he mentions, it is a song that touched my human and it made me itch because of how good it is.

The high perch is best for catching the birds, no? This cat-cryptogamerz is in luv with the rising star game my starbits are so shiny and the starpro is sparkly. It makes me giddy with happiness to chase them around the room like a wee little kitten.

Listening to radio evolved and some of the music lists on atom colector records gets my whiskers to twitching. It is such purrrrfeect sounds for my delectate ears. And to listen while reviewing all the cards that I have purchased with my starbits or won listening to radio evolved is so relaxing.

Ok, now I see why the game has so much energy on it...

Now seriously, I would like to thank him personally for all the efforts and dedication put into following up with such venture on HIVE. Games are a very entertaining option in this community and hopefully on day, the reason why so many know HIVE.

On top of all that, music is probably one of the things less people dislike in life. If you think about it, there are lots of things we completely say, "No I would not like it", but music (many kinds) will likely not be on that list. Yes, we have our preferences, but we surely have one that makes us really feel good.

And yes, making all this experience a place where music can actually be developed, shared and as a starting place for many to start in the career I think all alone just that is a BOOOMMM of an idea.

And to add, I'm also into running, I was able to participate in two national marathons already, but that was quite a while pre pandemic times, I was also able to experience outdoor artificial wall climbing and Ive enjoyed it a lot!

Loved the intervie Jux, as much as I love the music on RS, I would like to participate, my username is jesustiano as in hive, and I wonder if your main band inspiration is Radio head, when do you meet their music, and how?

Every one got a story on how they meet their favorite band, a friend, broder, sister or any other person showing you a song, and how it moved you, how it touched you. I wanna read that story.
