how many stories?

How many stories can you tell simply by keeping your eyes and imagination open while on a short run?

It helps when you have your phone handy to take the photos like I did last Friday afternoon while running from home to the BMX track.

Crossing river Sava which has a deep green colour from all the rain lately.

Immediately after the bridge, there is a parking lot which, in spare time, acts as a model car training and racing piste. The training session was on.

Going on I passed the equestrian center: They were training too.

By the Stožice sports hall and stadium, there is a huge space with an unfinished agenda. It was supposed to be a big shopping mall yet it had an unsound financial foundation and never came to be.

Next, running across and by the alley which was once named Titova Road.

A friendly bear is greeting you from a concrete wall of the Soča rehabilitation center. There is a children's ward behind this wall.

Finally, the BMX track. Training session in the full course again.

How many stories?

  1. Rain and a lot of water in riverbeds - too much rain and will there still be draughts in summer?
  2. Model cars racing.
  3. HOrses and people in harnessed harmony.
  4. Abandoned buildings and projects, remnants of the civilization of waste.
  5. Roads and their names and quarrels about them.
  6. Friendly graffiti for children and bypassers.
  7. Kids enjoying their BMX rides.

At least seven stories. I could produce more. How many Hive posts? Just this one. I don't want to burden you too much :)

That's some really great insight; it's also a great way to keep your mind open while running. Nice imagination!

Thanks :)

I go through life with my eyes open and camera-ready and constantly ask myself: "Is this a Hive story?" :)

Plenty going on in your area. I try to tell stories on my running posts so they are not too boring. Just talking about pace and heart rates will not interest many people. I just don't stop often to take pictures as it means fishing my phone out of the arm pocket.

Hey, thanks for the comment and pizza.

Yes, it's a tradeoff. Most of the time I leave my phone at home.

And when I do take it on the run I often ask myself if it's worth stopping and taking photos. Most of the time it is because it adds fun to the run :)

I have my phone for podcasts, but could run with just my watch. I could also take a little camera with me. Do you remember @trevor.george? He used to do a lot of videos of his runs that were creative. I hope he's doing okay as I've not heard anything from him in over a year.
