poliac challenge 1

The month of June started with a beautiful and hilly trail run. It was fun. It wasn't difficult or demanding. When you take it easy everything is possible.

When I reached the ridge I took some muddy paths. This mud will stick for a long time since the sun can't reach this deep in the forest.

Some sections of the trail are open to the sun and are a welcoming change to thick shade.

There is a blind side-valley crossed by the leyline. A view from this valley toward the ridge and the point where I was minutes ago.

The ridge from the photo above, this time on the top looking down. I am back.

I took some new trails today to try additional climb sections. After all, the goal was to accumulate some altitude.

Gaining the altitude was a game easily won as you can see from the profile. To me, it's always entertaining to climb up slowly and descent with ease. Call me weird if you wish.

The map of the run. It was fun!

Why #poliac? It's the first day of the @actifit based challenge. Expect me to wear the phone with me all the time for the next 58 days, even when on a toilet :)

your trail pathways are always so beautiful. I still am not a fan of running on any surface that isn't smooth though

Thank you. I am lucky to live in a suburb with really a lot of green area. There are hills to the north and plains to the other three directions, yet everywhere I go I can count on the green. Lucky me :)
