COVID tests happening at every doorstep here

The COVID numbers in India have been slowly increasing day by day. We have complete lockdown here in most of the places but still, the number of affected cases keeps increasing. One good thing is that over 40 percent of the affected individuals are recovering from this. Even though it is a good sign, the new cases emerging every single day is very scary.

Today I saw in the news that in Goa the situation has reached community spreading where they are no longer able to trace from where the spreading is happening. All the social media platforms warn about the community spreading. They say that when something like that happens, it can get really hard to trace where things go wrong and find a fix for the same.

In most of the places, the rules are getting strict to prevent that from happening. As a new initiative, the corporation people have started doing tests door by door. Some representatives come to every single house and collect information about people who live in the house and at the same time, they also enquire about any health problems in the house. They bring devices that would check temperature and devices to check the pulse of every individual. They then submit their finds to their officials.

If someone is having unusual temperature readings or pulse readings, they will be taken to the hospitals for further testing. Some people are even afraid to disclose that they are part of the house. People are afraid because in some places the test is faked and people are unnecessarily taken to quarantine centers for testing purposes even though they don't have any abnormalities. This mistake happens in quite a few areas but it spreads as big news and everyone is worried about it.

Doing a test at the doorstep is definitely a great move by the government. Even though they may not be able to prevent the spreading from happening, they at least give some awareness to the people by visiting every house in residential areas. With the current situation, everyone is believing that it would take a few more months to get settled and the fear will completely go only when there is a vaccination available and identified or if there is a proven way to control this virus or prevent this virus from entering into our body.
