Infinity Spaces with Mirror Design

Less is more. We can see the beauty in the application of various minimalist designs. One of them is the use of a mirror that can apply the concept of less is more.

Day by day, the use of mirrors gives birth to new design trends that are lighter but seem luxurious even without the complexity of the design. Mirrors bring many new perspectives to the room, as well as in the mind of the user itself.

Mirrors are no longer just accessories for us to see our own reflection. More than that, mirrors can bring new life to a dwelling and make spaces come alive.

Mirror design has become a part of art that beautifies contemporary design. What's interesting now is that the more minimalist the mirror design is, the better the vibes around it will look. It seems we no longer need mirrors with big frames. A frameless mirror is more talkative and produces an infinity perspective on space. Less is more, right?

Well, this post is part of my process to find the right mirror for my new workspace. I love to share what I'm thinking in my blog. Hopefully, we can find each other new ideas for the application of design in our lives.

MIRROR AS A WALL OR ROOM BOARD

Mirrors can turn into walls that have great benefits. Starting from the use of pure glass material, or still showing the texture of the mirror itself.

The main function of this design is to define and expand certain spaces. Some spaces use a lot of glass but retain the shape of a mirror, instead of using full glass.

GLASS VS MIRROR of course has a different atmosphere. Sticking mirrors in certain areas creates an aesthetic impression. Meanwhile, for the use of glass material as a whole, the walls of the room only create an ordinary impression.

Indeed, the application of a mirror as a wall function is tricky. If it works, we'll have lots of infinity corners that make the vibes of the room even more lively. Residents in it will feel they have a wider space than they should.

The concept of a moving wall, or room divider/room board, is also suitable for using a mirror design. It retains its function as a mirror, as well as for creating new constructs in spaces.

MIRRORS AS ACCESSORIES

I started to go crazy with the mirror after I realized it made me easier to take pictures of myself as a whole, with details of the room. The function of the mirror here is to expand and enrich the value of the mirror itself.

In the current application of minimalist design, the mirrors used have a variety of aesthetic shapes but maintain simplicity without a frame, or with a thin frame.

It is difficult to get rid of the luxurious impression presented by the mirror design. That makes the current minimalist design mirror prices start to climb up, starting from $50. Pricey, but worth it for real value.

The mirror design in the application of a minimalist room focuses on unusual shapes, even without a frame. Now we often see a mirror with a convex top and a flat bottom.

Then, there is a mirror with an abstract shape which is also used for photographic properties. Various product photography concepts currently involve the use of mirrors with attractive shapes to create the impression of luxury and excellence.

MY DREAM MIRROR

Currently, I still haven't got my dream mirror to complete my new workspace.

I dreamed of a mirror that was convex at the top and flat at the bottom. With a long size, and a bit wide. Then, on the edge of the mirror has the impression of white, or gold.

How about your dream mirror that will add a luxurious impression to your room? Do you like the addition of a mirror design? I would love to read your comments.
