Я не стал обрабатывать свои фотографии в монохромном режиме. Но всё же придал им немного состаренный вид.

This is a very famous place and a lot of things have been written and shown about it in photos and videos. I have been there only once and I want to go back there. Of course, I did not go around all the corners there and the weather did not really help in the photo shooting, it was raining and there was practically no light. But this is also interesting.

Это два последних строения перед выходом из старой части Выборга. Дальше предстоит примерно 1-2 км пути до парка Монрепо. Я не буду перегружать пост справочной информацией. Это очень известное место и про него много чего написано и показано в фото и видео. Я был там всего один раз и хочу туда вернуться. Конечно, я обошёл там не все уголки и погода не очень помогала в фото съёмке, шёл дождь и практически не было света. Но это тоже интересно.

The Friedrichsgam Gate opens the way to the territory of the Annenskie fortifications. They were erected in the 30s of the XVIII century to protect the northern borders from enemy attacks. Named after Peter I's niece Anna Ioannovna.

Now we went out and looked back at the exit gate from the defensive structures - the Ravelin Gate. Then there is the road to Finland. But we don't need to go there.

Rocks, water and northern greenery. And water is not only below, water is everywhere. Please note that the banks are well maintained and fortified. At the same time, a special natural kind of nature is preserved. Very competent work on the design of the park. We will be convinced of this more than once.

Перенесёмся сразу в парк. Пока мы до него шли, начался и усилился дождик. Нам даже пришлось купить целлофановые плащи. Продавец на кассе был готов к такому заказу. Скалы, вода и северная зелень. ПРичём вода не только внизу, вода везде. Обратите внимание, что берега ухожены и укреплены. При этом сохраняется особый естественный вид природы. Очень грамотная работа по дизайну парка. Мы в этом ещё не раз убедимся.

The temple of Neptune can be seen in the distance. A long-suffering building that was destroyed and burned. The temple was built in 1806 under Ludwig Heinrich Nikolai, the then owner of the Mon Repos estate. The last time it burned was in 2011.
It is curious that this temple was originally called the Temple of Piety in honor of the goddess Pietas, who is a symbol of piety and parental love. But I think for Neptune among the waters of the Zashchitnaya Bay (the Gulf of Finland) this is also a very suitable place.

Вдали виднеется храм Нептуна. Многострадальное здание, которое и разрушалось и горело. Храм был построен в 1806 г. при Людвиге Генрихе Николаи, тогдашнем владельце имения Монрепо. Последний раз горел в 2011 году.
Любопытно, что изначально этот храм назывался Храмом Благочестия в честь богини Пиетас, которая является символом благочестия и родительской любви. Но думаю для Нептуна среди вод бухты Защитная (Финский залив) это тоже весьма подходящее место.

И вновь хочу обратить внимание на грамотное обустройство парка. Это песчано-гравийная дорожка очень естественно вписалась в дикую природу. Создаётся просто ощущение лесной тропы. Хотя на самом деле думаю, что без дренажной системы тут не обошлось.

Directly from the temple of Neptune overlooks the Isle of the Dead. Ludwigstein necropolis island. Visiting the island is officially prohibited. But next time I will definitely get there.

Прямо от храма Нептуна открывается вид на остров Мёртвых. Остров-некрополь Людвигштайн. Официально посещение острова запрещено. Но в следующий раз я туда обязательно попаду.
