Great shadow photos! Another word you might want consider is barricade, although both gate and barrier also are correct. Seeing your shadow photo entries always make me smile!

Happy to be participating in this week's shadow contest
my little princess shadow

This is a photo of my little daughter's shadow who just woke up she was waiting for her mother to be carried because she was sick Fever and coughing

when I saw the shadow I quickly took a photo of my daughter's shadow
What I like about the shade is that the shadow is clear and shows 2 shadows namely the shadow on the side and below
