Shadow Hunter Contest 163- Enjoying My Day Off

Good Day Guys

Let me share with you about my day. When I woke up in the morning I finished writing and got ready to treat my patient. My mom was kind enough to bring me to my patient's house. I spent my morning shadow hunting. I just loved how this shadow looked because it was so dark compared to the other shadows that I took. This was when I was walking down to my patient's house.

When I got to their house, I used the doorbell at the side of their gate and waited for someone to open it for me. When they opened the gate for me. I had to remove my shoes and use one pair of their slippers before entering the house. As I enter the house, theirs a bottle of alcohol on top of the chair where I had to disinfect my hands before going to my patient. I really love how their family is taking precautions with COVID-19 right now. I think that they are doing it because 3 of them suffered from COVID-19 there including my patient. I also feel bad for them because all of them in that house are seniors. It's really sad that they haven't rolled out the vaccines for our seniors yet, even though they know that they are the target group who is at risk when facing COVID19. Back to the story, when I entered my patient's room, he was already ready, he showed me that he could already stand by himself. I'm really proud because we could barely do that when I started treating him. We did some balance exercises such as standing on one limb and heel-to-toe walking. These balance exercises are really important for fall prevention. That is actually one of the problems of geriatric patients, losing their balance and falling. It may cause fractures and even death, that's why we were training that. After that, it was my first time making him walk without my assist while using a rollating walker. He can actually do it. So I gave him the clearance to walk as long as he uses the walker. After his treatment, he was really exhausted. But I was really proud of his progress. When I got out of their gate, I took a photo of this Transformer Pole.

I walked home after treating my patient because it's nearby. It's like a 700m walk. While I was walking up I was just appreciating the beauty of the plants, trees, and clouds.

This was one of the views of where I was walking. You can already see our mountains are starting to lose trees. I just hope that they will preserve it. But I still have a feeling that it won't be preserved and all we'll be able to see is only structures and no more trees.

3 weeks ago I forgot the pin of my debit card, I was passing by the bank and said to myself why don't I get it replaced already so it's done. But before doing that I tried it on their atm machine. My first try was a fail. When I tried it for the second time, it finally worked. I'm really happy that I was able to remember it already and I didn't have to pay extra just to have it replaced. after that, I was taking photos of the shadows that the tree was producing. You can already see the importance of trees from these shadows. If there was no tree there, it would probably suck to walk here because there's no shade. I was also playing with the 0.6 zoom of my phone.

When I got to our house, I had to use the buzzer also because it was locked. Thankfully, my cousin heard it and opened it for me. I looked at the side of our gate towards my grandma's garden and saw these beautiful flowers. I'm really not sure what's called but I loved the way it looked. It looked like the nectar was oozing.

When I went inside our house, I disinfected. Then saw this adorable cat on top of our couch. I can't help but pet him. It's really funny that he has a lot of faces when you take photos of him. After that, I then used my computer then ate lunch.

During lunchtime, it was pouring. I was worried that it would continue to be strong because I was going to my girlfriend's place. Thankfully after an hour, it weakened and it eventually stopped. That's when I decided to go to her place. Before going there I took a photo of this puddle showing the reflection of the trees and the sky.

Driving to their place was fun because there wasn't that much traffic. When I got to their place, there was someone blocking their driveway so I couldn't park. I was asking around if they knew the owner of it and one guy said that the driver was inside it. I was so stupid because I already checked it looking for a number though I didn't notice that there was a person inside, so we switched places. The government has a new project in their place and they are constructing a concrete canal. I was surprised by their budget which was 192,382 Php which is around 3,952.29 United States Dollar. I hope that all the money will go to that project where the quality will be superb because one problem here in the Philippines is corruption. There are some road projects that they make which are substandard and would crack after only a few months because people would rather pocket the money instead of working hard for it. I was able to bond with my girlfriend for a while.

At around 6 we had to leave to go to our house for the despedida/farewell party of my cousin. He's going back to the States for 2 months to fix some papers. I'm so happy for him because he hasn't seen his family ever since the pandemic happened. He still has to come back for his school. It was really fun bonding with my family after a long time. Here are some photos of the dessert that was preset there. There was sansrival, black kutsinta(steamed rice cake) served with caramel and fried coconut and cake. The cake was for our uncle who celebrated his birthday yesterday. After all the eating and bonding I had to bring home my girlfriend. I then came home and continued using my computer and studying. I hope that you guys had a wonderful day!
