Stir the Pot - Spice it Up in YOUR Way
The transition from the old blockchain to the Hive is almost over, as most of the people who wanted to leave the old one will finish their powering down in a week... for vice-versa, there are still a couple of weeks... Soon, we will see the "real picture" of the price value of both...
As I'm not really into the price thing, as it can be very much manipulated (see: stocks, current fake-economy stats, USD value, etc...), I'm not too worried about it at the moment... The most important thing is that almost all of the apps have made the transition to HIVE and that has already brought a ton of value to it... Besides that, we have a couple of announcements about some great apps that will come very soon...
And, I have to add something more to this... I have some feeling that the Hive is evolving in something else than what was imagined at the beginning... If you didn't know, the idea was to create a kind of Reddit website, but on the blockchain and decentralized... As I'm a computer nerd, I liked the idea to a certain level (not a Reddit fan)...
Posts on the chain were mostly blockchain-inspired, or about tech, computers, codes one... But, I have noticed that the direction is slowly moving toward other things and people are more open to experimenting with different topics... Of course, the large impact on that had an implementation of communities and tribes, and if we see those HMT in the future, that would be a giant leap forward...
My video today wasn't too inspiring, but I wanted to send a message to authors and creators on the chain to be free to experiment with the content that they bring on the chain... There are a bunch of awesome communities out there, so you can spread your wings and fly! :) And if there is no community of your interest, CREATE one... Be the first and build it from the scratch...
I like to have fun doing this, and I will try to spice it up with some entertaining content in the future... But that is more a long-term plan... Stay tuned...

Yes, people are interested in different things, not just technology and cryptos. We used to see crypto and technology-related content on the trending before. And some people think you need to make content like that to do better on the platform.
I'm passionate about martial arts. I have been writing about it consistently for over a year. I see some people make great content about martial arts and self defense. But posts rewards are not impressive. Maybe people lost the motivation to make their effort to create content about that. Well, I get more support on SportTalkSocial, and sometimes I also get support on Hive.
Glad to see that people now express themselves in different ways and they are appreciated because of that.
Martial arts, cooking, cats, photography, lego, chess... It's great to see so many different topics and communities... Don't forget that Hive is still relatively small, and the potential of your content is much bigger...
Keep on creating and gather the people around your passion

I sometimes think that we have only scratched the surface on this platform. I think that there are some very skilled people on Hive but it's not always easy to see what they create. I had a look at the creative tribe and I saw some very intersting things.
I believe that we have to rediscover the idea of being totally free to do whatever we want ;-).
Oh, my... you are so right about scratching the surface... We are all excited, but we didn't even talk about an awesome (current) games on the chain, and some of the dApps and games that are coming soon... don't even mention the possibilities for financial apps... omg...
Just a little gymnastic for the mind:
Imagine you earn these DEC tokens in one of these games on Hive. Then there is a online shop owner who uses a woo commerce wordpress websites and puts a certain plugin and you can actually go shopping with your DEC's....
What would be great is to have an app that allows to scan a qcode generated by a cash register so that you could simply pay with your phone in any shop in the world with HIVE....
For shop owners this would be amazing. No credit card costs, 3 sec transactions, integrated marketing platform, customers retention (you know your customers), mass memo possibility, reward system with upvotes.... Where are the limits?

Yes, you're right! The transition from the old blockchain (who's name we will not mention) to #HIVE has been quite unforgettable. Now that most of us are here, it's definitely time to express our own truths & our own unique passions.
Don't get me wrong, I like learning about crypto & earning it (obviously), but seeing more well rounded content captures my interest even more. It's nice to know you can have fun here as well. And if we can't have fun, well, what's the point?
I came here, not knowing much at all how crypto worked. I'm still very much of a newbie in that area, but I'm learning. My calling has always been into spiritual & esoteric topics as well as helping others see the value within themselves. 💗

There is so much to discover about Hive, and in crypto and blockchain in general... But, I've got some strange strong positive feeling about the future of the Hive blockchain... Seeing so many different people with different interest gathered under one roof makes me "warm and fuzzy" :)
