Long Preparation is Killing the Moment...
You have a great idea and you would like to convert it into reality... It's the moment to take action and actually do it...
...you start to think about the necessary steps that you have to made to make it happen... you have prepared the list of things that you will need...
...the list is getting longer and longer every day... you can't find some of the things that you have on the list...
...you are trying to find replacement solutions for things that you can't find... that takes a bit more of your time...
...after a couple of weeks/months, you have finally collected all gear that you need for your new fancy project...
YES!!! You have created your first video on the platform... it's not as good as you have expected, and it's not on the level that your equipment can do it...
...after doing your second/third video, it "still" doesn't look as you would like to... you are getting disappointed with results and quit...
THE MOMENT HAS GONE! It has gone the day after you got an idea!
You have it in the beginning, you should start doing it THEN... On the very first day... With the equipment that you have at that moment, and you probably have everything that you needed for a "slow start"... Through time you will gain experience, get some gear, and when learning through DOING it...
After just a couple of months, it will not suck as much as it was at the beginning...

How many get ideas have never happened because of no action? I don't know but I will bet it is a lot.
You are right... From my own experience, I know that I didn't realize a lot of my ideas... Maybe they were impossible because of a lack of time, but they weren't realized because of no taking action...
In the end it boils down to taking action. I believe that buying stuff to get prepared is a kind of subconscious mecanisme to postpone doing stuff. Also people love to shop new gadgets...
oups... I think that you nailed it with this sentence... but, on the other side... my friend from the video was enjoying buying that stuff and exploring new gadgets... maybe more than in fishing itself... lol...
I think that a lot of people actually enjoy to buy the gadgets more than the task in itself ;-). The other day I had a meeting with my employees about these changes that we have to implement in our center and for them the most important thing was to know who could do the shopping... lol...
hahahaha.. you have to organize official drawing for the "shopping position" :D
They all want to go shopping and leave me with the work ;-)

If you wait for the perfect moment, you will never get that moment. Or, if you think when you are ready, you don't know the time, it will just take valuable time what you can use to create something and start learning by actually doing it.
