In some of the previous posts comment section, someone has asked for a short tutorial on how can you join our curation trail, so we have created a video tutorial about it! It contains a couple of tips for optimizing your results, but also some important notes on why we need your support with our @liotes.voter...

Yes, @liotes.voter will upvote the quality content of the community members, but also, its function is to deliver additional value to HivePower delegators... We want to make those $LEN payments for your delegation as high as possible, but that will depend also on the support from the community...

Yw! Curation trails are great if you want to earn passive income (while you are sleeping) as you can set up things that you don't waste your potential earnings, and also, maximize them as much as possible...

Thank you! Yeah, we use mostly rewarding.app, but I do understand that it can be complicated for people to see it up, so I have chosen to show the "easier" way of joining the curation trail...

My HIVE voting power tends to never be above 75% since I do manual voting. Is there a detriment to doing so? I don't think there is too much of a difference since it takes away a similar ratio from my VP. I personally plan on entering curation trials later on when my HP is higher but not right now.

I'm not sure how it looks now when you have less than 500HP as before you couldn't upvote with less % upvote... If you can see the upvote % bar when you upvote some post, maybe you should consider use it and give lower upvotes...

The ideal is to keep your voting power over 85%... On my personal account I do curation trails over 95%, and manually upvote people until I get to 85-90% (trying to not go lower than that)...

I could modify the bar with whatever amount I want to since I joined (6 months ago). I have been optimizing my LEO VP more so I tend to give smaller upvotes over there but I think I may start extending this towards the other tribes. I also have been using the LeoDex voting multiplier to a certain extent so it tends to be a bit tough.

Thanks for the advice. I think I might wait till I have a little more HP then I will make some alternative accounts so I can manage my VP a bit more then.

Yeah... I'm doing optimizing for Liotes.voter and we do have separate accounts for .leo, .ctp, and .vibes and it's easy to optimize those 3...
But, we try to accumulate CINE and POB on .voter (like you are doing with your LEO on your main account), and it's hard to do that... Even with multipliers... It can be done, but it's way more effective with separate accounts...

This is a great tutorial, Zoltan! Even though I personally knew how to do it since someone helped me (you would have no idea who that would be LOL), I know a lot of us appreciate you taking the time out to do this. There are so many new Hiveans joining & some might not understand how it is set up. This is a great one to bookmark & save in case I need to refer to it as well.

The curation trail is an awesome way to earn a little & help the project overall - a win win.

Exactly... That's why I picked hive.vote for this tutorial as it is the easiest tool for following curation trails... Maybe it's not the best, but it works.. ;)

And it is a win-win! Especially for the people who don't manually upvote a lot, but still, create content...

This is great. I know there is other tutorials out there but it is better that those who are members of liotes have an easy access tutorial here than that they have to start asking or searching around for one.
(And it also was a good excuse for you to make an extra post for liotes. ;))

Yes, we know that there are a lot of tutorials out there, but the truth is that people were asking for it... And searching stuff here on HIVE isn't the easiest thing, especially for new users...

I, too, use rewarding.app. However, I agree that it is probably better to show people how to use hive.vote for people unfamiliar with setting up curation trails.

Agree... Not everyone wants to configure 20 things that have no idea for what it serves... It should be the easiest way for the new users... ;)
