Unique Content is Gold - Personal Experience Inside!

Oh, no... Not again... :) No, it's not about content theft, or something similar... This time, I have decided to share with you my personal experience with the power of the original content, and the real value of it...

When I was searching "my place" here on the blockchain, I have experimented with different topics that I was interested in... One of those was movies, as I like to watch from time to time a good movie... It doesn't have to be a new one or some mega-popular one, but some ordinary drama, classic movie, or some weird Irani movie... :)

So, I have decided to create posts about new movies, to be exact, about the movies that WILL COME to theaters soon (it was before this virus thing)... As I had one old website that I didn't use for years, I have decided to activate it, install SteemPress plugin, and, in that way, publish my content on two places at the same time...

I would take a trailer video of the movie, write little about the storyline, cast, and a couple of "trivia" about it and publish to my website and blog page... I was doing that every day, for a couple of months...

When all this thing with forking the old chain came, I stopped doing my movies website, and focused more on this channel, but than I have noticed a big surprise in my member panel of one affiliate website...

But, you will have to check out the video for more details... I hope you will follow the rule of creating UNIQUE content and you will see the results by yourself...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

Great video Zoltan! There is nothing wrong with linking other articles to your posts that talk about the same subject, so you get more credibility in your post. I think it is crazy though to just use someones else's post or article as your own. This is straight up theft and may as well be copywrite infringement. It doesn't take much effort to put things into your own words and reference supporting articles.

You are right about this... and I use this a lot here on the chain when I'm giving credits to the people that have inspired me to talk about the similar (or same) topic

It doesn't take much effort to put things into your own words and reference supporting articles.

It looks that this IS a big problem for some people... as they literally copy text from other posts, which is just crazy to do on Social Media Network... lol... No point at all...

Thanks for watching!

It might take a little time but original content pays off. And If you can do some keywords research and your content is SEO friendly, you will get better results. People can recognize your style when they read your post or you can do a better job with videos. It will differentiate you from the crowd.

You have nailed it with your comment! The SEO points are valid, that's for sure... and Google algorithm is changing daily, so cheating maybe had meaning in the past, but not anymore...

And I like this the most:

People can recognize your style when they read your post

It's like that indeed! People do recognize "person behind the post", and if you copy/paste, there is no way that you leave YOUR SIGNATURE under those words...

Thanks for your awesome comment!

Yes, that's right. Google updates its algorithm consistently. We only know the big updates. They make different experiments so that users get the best result.

If you want to build a brand, your content is the key. That's what I think. Thank you @ph1102 for sharing your experience about that site.

There are a lot of gurus out there that actually tell you to let other people write your blog posts, e-books. I totally disagree with that because your message won't make any sense if it's not you who is behind what is on your page.

It's nice to see that by simply creating content on a regular basis it's still possible to build a website in an organic way...

tbh, I was sceptic about this "experiment", but I didn't lose anything, so I tried... got some hive upvotes, so I didn't do it for nothing.. and this website ranking was just a PLUS...

And I also dislike there "rules" for writing stuff... The final goal for ALL Search engines is to find original NATURAL content... not those that are written in some "rules", and inside the box...

I didn't try to fit in any rules (as I don't know them at all), so the result is even more surprising... lol...

I have tried to study these rules when I was writing the website for my business. Google actually wants us to write natural content and the algorithm favourises such content. The only thing it made me do was to use more subtitles and naming photos and videos.

Yeah... I was doing those things also... renaming photos, adding that "image description", etc... :)

When you write your own content and do research you get your ideas and moments.
It help you in think better and increase your reasoning too, and I think you can connect with your audience better because you know what actually is written.

That's right! By investigating and learning something, you are creating opinion about the topic and leave your "personal mark" in the blog post... ;)

Thanks for your comment...

Very good video Zoltan! This is an important video for content creators - kind of like a Do's or Don'ts checklist. Plagiarism is not something one should do & that is why it's good most of us do quote the person or company that created the articles or. content. I appreciate you bringing this topic up. You are awesome! 👍
