From Engaging to Promoting
I was attending today #HiveChat which is happening on Twitter every Tuesday... Today the host was @nathanmars, and the main question for the audience was: "As a hive owner, what are you willing to do to increase the Hive network effects?"
Of course, there were a lot of great ideas about that and in the one moments, Nathan mentioned the most effective marketing strategy ever, the "word of mouth" marketing... The idea is to spread the word about the Hive social media network, and the Hive community by "speaking" about it on other social networks...
As we all know, the word of mouth marketing gives the best results when the "speaker" is telling about the product that it personally uses or consumes... Then it has the best effect...
Hearing the idea, my brain cells started to work, and I got an idea to create this short vlog about that topic... Check it out!

Well, it is... I think that you also notice a difference between your first days here, and now... I bet that you met some great people, and change your perception of this place...

Word of mouth advertising can be really effective for Hive.
Word of mouth is effective in any business... and Hive is a real-fit for that as it is about people!

I can name a lot of people here that have done something for my growth... and among them, you also... Appreciate that you have come back to support Hive, and shake Twitter hard... :)
I wasn't active there too much, but I feel a difference in doing it the past month or two...
I would say commenting is where the relationships are built. I have had and seen many conversations in comments, not just a single comment but several each answering the other. This is one of the easiest ways of building relationships on the blockchain is simply by engaging as much as possible. Great information as always Zoltan.
Exactly! Comments are "undervalued" at the moment... It's the place where the real connection and interactions start! Without engagement, discussion, this place would be just like a single-player video game...
And we all know that those aren't popular at the moment at all... We have to leave that in the past and connect with each other...
What you point out is exactly the way that we go through on this platform. You are depicting the way of the people who really succeed because they are so committed. The problem is that many people drop out on the way because they can't bring up enough committment until the get "trapped" by this amazing blockchain.
There should be like a shortcut that allows people to feel how we feel and that wouldn't require two years on the blockchain...
That shortcut is on us... That is our positive vibe that others should see in our sparkling eyes and the passion when we are talking about this blockchain...

In terms of the definition of the word Community, Hive definitely fits that definition much more than many of the other mainstream Social Media Platforms. There's not too many other platforms that I know of where a great percentage of the user base are making their own posts and helping other creators actively by commentating, up-voting, and resteaming. That to me is one of the highlights of the Hive network 👌.
We are definitely different... All working for the same cause, helping each other... That's impossible to find on standard centralized social media networks like FB or IG...

Word of mouth is really powerful to spread the message and have a huge impact. When we hear from someone we know, we are more likely to do that. It is one of the most effective marketing strategies.
That's the famous affiliate marketing saying: "Know, Like and Trust"... People pay attention when they hear something from their friends...
