Mindful Mondays | Ep 6 Giving Yourself Permission

#PixiePost #MindfulMondays #Permission

In today's world, we tend to go, go, go & hustle to achieve our goals we set for ourselves, whether it is personal or business. While taking action is good, sometimes we suffer from burn out & don't know when to put the brakes on. Logically, we all know it's important but it can be easier said than done.

This video talks about this common problem & what you can do to break out of that cycle to finally get the reprieve that you need!

Remember, if you don't fill your own tank first, you won't be able to show up & serve others. This is a form of selfLESS self care. 💜

I really needed to hear this msg today, Jenn - thank you.

Tired solo mama here - hustling hard and just, frankly, needing SO MUCH MORE downtime and rest. You're so right abut needing to pay more attention to filling my own cup.

Saw this post in twitter - following you from Thailand. 😊

This makes me happy that this helped you. It is something we KNOW logically we need to but doing it is a whole other ball game sometimes. I needed this reminder just as much. So, now I am paying attention to the signs of me getting caught up in the FOMO mentality & then allow myself to rest, even if it's for an evening or something (preferably more most of the time lol).

Being a single mom isn't easy, as I can imagine. (I only have a furbaby & that is enough 🤣) Much respect to you for that.

I am very glad to "meet" you. I hope you do get well deserved rest & remember always, it's not selfish to do so. You are important as well. 💛

I think that being able to allow myself to take breaks during the day is what keeps me motivated. I remember hearing someone say that we can't pour from an empty cup. I don't remember exactly where I heard it but it stuck with me. If we don't take care of ourselves we won't have anything to give. Sending hugs!

Same here. It really helps when I take one day off a week & if I can't do that, I will take at least one evening off or take mini breaks throughout the week. Sometimes, life doesn't allow the exact same way of doing it all the time but as long as some time is balanced out for rest, you are usually better off.

Hugs back & thank you as usual for your support! 😊 💚

It is just so wonderful that we can give ourselves permission and don't have to ask anyone else! Enjoy your evening my friend! ❤️😀

Absolutely, Lisa. We can give ourselves permission to rest when we need it & to give ourselves grace also. 💗

Thanks so much for watching. Have a great day, sweetie. 🙌💕

Yes Jenn, that is something I am accepting more and more all the time! Giving myself grace, that is. ❤️ I often joke with Roy that I am going to tell "my boss" that I am taking time off and I don't care what she says.😂 Have a good night!

Ha ha ha I love that! That's exactly it - you are the boss of you so you can definitely find ways to give yourself permission about things. Conditionings we grow up with tend to hinder that sometimes, but when we truly look at it, we only limit ourselves. So once we stop doing that, can we say FREEDOM? :)

Thanks for watching, girl! Have an awesome week :) 💜

I count my free day when I have prepared "material" earlier and only publish it on the blog... 🤣 🤣 🤣

I suppose that that is cheating :)

LMAO! Well, I sometimes batch my videos (make several at one time) but haven't had a lot of time to do that yet. I would like to do that more so it would free up my time a bit & allow me to have that rest here & there.

It is not cheating lol. Time is not linear anyways so the messages will apply when the person watches them. Except for hamsters. That is a whole other ball game. ;)

Thanks so much for watching! 😉 💚 ❤️

sometimes I am afraid of taking breaks but there are breaks that I enjoy because I know I have done my best and did my best to earn it. However, there are breaks that I don't enjoy cause I feel like I don't even deserve it. Thanks for sharing this with us!

You're so welcome! And yes, I can appreciate that. I have been in those predicaments myself.

Sometimes, when you KNOW you worked hard & earned it, those breaks are a bit sweeter. Just keep in mind, regardless, our bodies & minds always need rest when we are depleted. At that point, it doesn't make a difference if we feel we "deserve" it or not. It's what is needed. That is not a bad thing. Because once we are replenished, we can help others so much better!

Thanks so much for watching :)
