Monkey-B π΅ Suriname Sheep Whisperer π
Monkey-B and the landlords' sheep have become pretty close friends, especially Hero, the baby goat which is now nearly full-grown. Constant lockdowns, curfews, and a barely functioning public school system here in Suriname have kept us bored and at home.
It's A Meditation π§ββοΈ
Β Β Β The lamb is no longer little, but has grown up alongside Monkey-B, and they have become good buddies, even playing soccer and chasing after one another several times a week.
Β Β Β The bond between these two is undeniable, and although we would never keep animals in captivity by our own choosing, they are stuck here and so are we, and I think in a way they both comfort each other.
Β Β Β When Srey-Yuu, @Sreypov, and I are busy working on our blog posts, Monkey-B gets bored and goes to hang out with the sheep, and in some sense of the word, it's a meditation for her. When Monkey-B can't be found, chances are she's got a lamb in a loving headlock.
Β Β Β The ram is not to be trusted by anyone, and although he feigns interest, he is ready for a headbutt at any time if you get within the circumference of his rope and stake. However, he tolerates Monkey-B, and doesn't even stomp when she gets near.
Β Β Β I do keep her away from the ram though for safety reasons. With baseball-sized testicles, this testosterone junkie is always looking for some conflict and a good stomping, so it's easier just to consider the ram's circle a no-fly zone.
Β Β Β Monkey-B is full of love, there's no doubt about that, and she seems able to evoke it not only from fellow humans quite easily, but also from other species, a quality which will serve her well in life.
Aww seriously this is true beauty. The bond between these creatures and a child. I love sheep and goats. There is something about them.
I don't blame you for keeping her away from Mr. testosterone but he does look very interested in getting some of her affection. He probably sees the other goats getting some love in headlocks and wonders why he doesn't get it haha.
Monkey-B might be able to tame the ram, but she just needs to do it without wandering too far into the rope zone. I know what would happen if I put Mr. Gigantoballs in a headlock though. !ENGAGE 35

The youths have a special love vibration the ram can sense. But Monkey-B vibration seems to be very vibrant! Cool pics! I tell you even in your restricted situation you fine quality content!
Thanks, yeah we try and stay entertained no matter the circumstance. Even though I won't let Monkey-B go in the ram rope zone, I am impressed he doesn't stomp when she gets near like he does with everyone one else. Good vibrations from the youths settle him down. !ENGAGE 20

tokens.I like your photo, the atmosphere is like in Java, like your post thank you.
I guess our latitudes are very similar here, and of course a lot of Javanese diaspora here too. Thanks for the kind words. !ENGAGE 10
Thank you again, greetings.

I hope she keeps that spirit alive even when she grows up. It gives me hope for the future seeing kids with love and positivity to even those who can't fend for themselves.
I do to, but when I see when I see what is normal behavior for the new generation, I also lose a lot of hope. Who knows what the future will bring, but I hope one day meekness is not seen as weakness. !ENGAGE 15
I know exactly what you mean... I recognize a few things of myself in her and though I'm not bitter I have become more reserved. But still, I do believe in the good in people. I'm the kind who'll give you the benefit of the doubt in the beginning and yes some have underestimated me and tried to walk over me, but I've learned to push back.
I think that if she has a good support system she'll be good, because that's what helps me π.

Great photos!
One of the few humans the ram lets get near it. The lamb runs away from everyone except Monkey-B and the landlords. !ENGAGE 10

tokens. So cute I think it's important for kids to love animals it certainly brings them up in a better loving way. They really are great friends π
She definitely has a deep respect for life. About the only thing we intentionally kill every day are mosquitoes, but those things are godless killing machines. !ENGAGE 15
That is a great way to be and I agree with the mosquitoes why were they even put on this planet if I could nuke them all I would π€£
