A Reasoning With Monkey-B 🧠 Teaching The Youths To Hold A Meditation πŸ€”πŸ’šπŸ’›β€οΈ

I have recently been working with Monkey-B to "hold a meditation," or "reason" as some say. In the Rastafari understanding of this terminology, it means to hold a long conscious back and forth chat about serious matters, remembering to practice awareness in the moment and not get distracted or kill the vibes.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ« Teach The Youths πŸ‘§

easoning is an important social skill often overlooked in this hyper-fast attention deficient modern world we live in, and now that Monkey-B is getting a little older, I want to share with her some important aspects of Rastafari livity which I feel will serve her well in this dispensation. Principle of these aspects is the ability to reason and hold a meditation with a fellow human being. When I say "hold a meditation," I don't mean it in the east-Asian religious understanding of the word, but more so from a Rastafari perspective.

or me personally, holding a meditation means the ability to reason for an extended period of time without interruption while keeping things conscious. Although we practice a purely Ital diet, I want my youths to understand that it's what comes out of our mouths that is of the upmost importance. I have been talking to Monkey-B like an adult since she was a baby, and she knows to ask for an explanation if she doesn't understand a vocabulary word. From years of this, Monkey-B is able to converse with adults much better than most adults can converse among themselves, and some people find it shocking.

onkey-B has been teaching me how to be more comfortable and natural on camera, something that comes to her easily, and me not so much. She wanted to take the lead on today's reasoning, something she normally doesn't do, but I sensed she was tooting her own bravery horn, and complied. As you can see in the video, she quickly changed her mind, but boy is she cheeky, and she certainly is the best video-based content creator in our household. That's about all there is to say as the video speaks for itself, so I recommend watching more than reading.

Oh my goodness! I just watched the most adorable video.
The daal scene as she whispers " I think my dad is crazy" and saying so because her dad is an expert at making such dishes.

Her cheekiness is precious and priceless. I think you have the greatest kids ever, and they have the greatest parents ever, not to mention an extremely adventurous and educational life despite what she currently hates haha.

Thank you for the kind words. Now I honestly can't remember if I was being silly on purpose or actually thought Monkey-B was talking about putting dolls in soup. She does hate the rona', and is all too aware they way it's affected our lives and migration. I guess this experience is forging girls made of hardened steel. !ENGAGE 40

Give thanks, Monkey B is definitely the best in our house on camera, and considering her older sisters has been on national television twice, Monkey B is overdue an opportunity. Sidenote, there is a program on TV here in Suriname a bit like "Religious Hardtalk," and I may be on as a guest soon. Stay tuned...

Hahahaa she's also so funny... Especially when she's interrupting you, but not in a bad way πŸ™ˆ
Good that you both taught the kids to talk "normal" and no "baby language", psychologists do say you have to talk to kids as if they understand. If they don't break it down, but no baby language. So good on you guys.

I need to try out that meditation technique.

She's about as cheeky as it gets. I love when she learns a new word all by herself and uses in a sentence without me knowing it's part of her new vocabulary. The other day I think she said "total disaster," which caught me off guard. !ENGAGE 35
