The year is nearly over ReggaeJAHMers, and it's @JustinParke once again with a collection of the most JAHMIN Posts Of The Week in the ReggaeJAHM Community.

WHAT A GWAAN?

2020 is nearly done and gone, and hopefully so are many of the problems associated with it. Our community is growing a little bit each and every week, and I enjoy seeing new faces posting Irie content in our community.

This JAHMIN POSTS OF THE WEEK curation from the ReggaeJAHM Community is a good representation of our global diversity. From the Caribbean to Southeast Asia and beyond, I love seeing more and more Irie content each and every week.

You don't need to be in the Caribbean or from it to post in our community. From Ital food to reggae music, Caribbean news and much more is welocme in our community. To learn more about our tags/cultural initiatives, see the following posts: Dashout Sunday, APART, and RJNAS.

Stay positive ReggaeJAHMers, and give thanks for the beauty of life.

WHAT'S JAHMIN' THIS WEEK?

Every week, I select a 5% beneficiary of this post, and this week's winner is @nachomalina, because he obviously put a lot of thought into his Musical Elevation post.

The Suriname Popular Song Festival 🎼 An Introduction to Classical Suripop
by : @rarej

Suripop is something I don't know much about, even though I've lived in Suriname for nearly two years. I must admit Vaughn Benjamin is responsible for 90% of the music that enters my ears, so I enjoy when someone can show me some new or interesting music, especially if it's not so well-known. With Suriname's small population, what's popular here isn't necessarily popular internationally speaking.

APART initiative - My musical elevation | "The World", a Sizzla song
by : @nachomolina

This Venezuelan brethren shared his musical elevation with us, and the story is yet to be finished. Sizzla certainly is a powerful and inspiring musician, and one of the big reggae artists I've never seen live. Read the post to see how positive music takes @nachomalina to I-yah I-tes.

Shinehead "Reggae Christmas Medley" 12 inch record
by : @quinnertronics

Even though it clearly says "Shinehead," my mind kept interpreting it as skinhead, making me think it was an old British skinhead reggae album. I was wrong, and Shinehead is an artist I've never encountered. He gives a bit of a "Cocoa Tea" vibe, definitely giving that late 80s reggae Christmas vibe.

✌️ Peace Be Pon' Ya' 🕊️

Peace is the main reason why many people love Reggae Music
by : @bahagia-arbi

In this you'll discover why this Indonesian JAHMer thinks reggae fans are a peaceful bunch, and why this music has taken hold of Indonesia, where it is a very popular music genre, with many talented Indonesian reggae artists.

#APART initiative - Leave the world better than we found it
by : @josevas217

This view and photo triggered an idea for this JAHMer to make an #APART about the importance of preserving our natural environment for future generations. The song "Waterfall" by Groundation is obviously appropriate given the beautiful shot of the waterfall he took, but the post is deeper than that, so dive in and have a read.

GIVE THANKS FOR READING

Stay tuned for more JAHMIN Posts Of The Week and bless up yourselves all around the world. Keep your loved ones safe and keep surviving and hustling any way you know how, for these are tough times we are living in.

More time...
