Friends of this community greetings and infinite blessings, it is my pleasure to share a new post hopefully to your liking, more than a vote I want and help me to reinforce the information.

Many people have sometimes said that size does matter for certain activities, perhaps because of that nomenclature that says that the bigger the better, in sports there are many and innumerable cases of short players who have not had the chance to show themselves at a high level because of their empirical size.

In basketball the size of each player must be over 1.90 meters tall to be able to compete and be successful according to some coaches of the specialty, but it is basketball and that is why it is called the sport of height and hence the requirement in my opinion.

In Venezuela we have three little guys of height, who have put the name of our country in a big way, in spite of not being taller than 1.68 meters and not being jockeys in the racetracks.

Alexis Amarista, Jefferson Soteldo and José Altuve, all three have magnified the name of our country with their outstanding performances in foreign scenarios.

Amarista uncorked the Venezuelan baseball league, he earned respect despite being a player of short stature 1.68 compared to others we are accustomed to see giving home runs, with the Anzoategui Caribs in 10 seasons, he managed to get 34 balls out of the park, He made his debut in 2010-2011 when he was only 17 years old, he was champion 3 times, in the big top as a utility of several organizations for 7 years, he hit 21 home runs, and became another in the list of Venezuelan position players that pitch in the majors from the mound.

He recently played for Venezuela in the pre-Olympic playoffs with the national team, and in his debut he hit a couple of home runs. He is currently playing a great season in Mexico, leaving his country's name high among the best hitters in the league.

Yeferson Soteldo

Yeferson Soteldo

Since his beginnings in the youth categories of Venezuelan soccer under the guidance of Noel "chita" Sanvicente, he showed the quality of a future football star, and that clinical eye that has the coach with more laurels in Venezuela to capture good players, was not wrong when he decided to take the "little one" to the ranks of Zamora FC after the indiscipline problems that the tiny player had at that time.

He made his professional debut at the age of 16 with Zamora FC, a year later he went to Chile to play for Huachipato, the following year he was runner-up in the World Cup with the U-20 national team, then he became a member of the Universidad de Chile, then he went to Brazil to play for Santos, where he scored a considerable amount of goals, was runner-up in the Liberators Cup, and currently plays in the MLS with Toronto FC.

All Venezuelans want to see him from the start in every game with the national team, he is a player from another galaxy, his dribbling, speed, overflow and leadership skills have made us dream, using the historic 10 of King Pele in Brazilian soccer, he magnified the name of VENEZUELA.

Another little guy who was born to be great, also got on the way to someone who trusted him and his talent, Alfredo Pedrique who got him a job with Houston, taking into account that stature was his great obstacle to succeed in baseball, however, over nearly 10 years in the majors he has silenced all and sundry.

He has achieved three batting titles, a World Series ring, a Most Valuable Player award and four seasons with more than 200 hits, he represented Venezuela in a World Classic and although they only made it to the second round, Altuve can not detract from his merits.

These three have put the name of Venezuela in great despite their diminutive stature, they broke the paradigms of the prejudices regarding stature, they made us see that it is not as they say in Creole that "a small man is only good for picking tomatoes".

Greetings, success and blessings
