Enemy inside the house.

It's a blessing having siblings and most of us do have. The relationship between them is always sweet and sour. You see it's a sunny day and suddenly it starts to rain. Hahaha, unpredictable weather. No matter how the weather stays, the climate is always beautiful in those relationships.

I am gonna talk about an enemy inside of my home, hahaha. That's my younger sister who is around five years younger than me. From the beginning, I was jealous of her as I feel that she reduced all my affection and love. Btw I am the middle one and it's said that the middle ones are always wicked, is it so? Nope, I don't feel that, I am such a good boy.

In my childhood when dad used to leave in the morning would take me in his arms and say goodbye. That was like an everyday drill. But the scenario changed slowly when I was growing up and then my sister came and dad used to take her in his arms while leaving home. As I was quite a big boy to take me in their arms I used to be super jealous of being deprived of that affection. Hahaha. People would have pampered her more than me while visiting our homes and I was feeling neglected all of a sudden because I was grown up and she was a little baby. The innocent, little, soft heart of me used to be broken. It was like another share in my stuff.

When we do have little gaps of age with our siblings, those relations are too exciting, trust me it is. I have two nephews with just one year of a gap between themselves. Little sister is the cunning one here, she would beat his elder brother black and blue with a fight over possessing mobile phones. When she sees her brother is being pampered sometimes and if anyone says her parents don't love her anymore she would start to cry and come for what she wants. On seeing them I remember those days of mine which I stated above.

We are growing day by day and things are changing too. Maybe I am not that jealous of those tiny matters anymore but have that sweet and sour relation till now. We would call each other with the ugly nicknames. Or pull the hairs from her head while crossing our way. Tons of these kinds of memories to share which are common among all of us and we do love to recall these sweet memories.

And the sweet part of the relationship is beyond description. No matter how quarrelsome we are, we can't stay without one another at home. I was out of the home during my admission time and I missed my family too much and her absence was significant too. Because I have hundreds of orders for her daily to-do my many things, hahaha. Sometimes when my mother became angry with something of mine I would often sit for a hunger strike and she would supply me snacks secretly so that the self-respect of my strike doesn’t get broken. That's the sweet part and the sour part of the same incident is she would demand something in exchange for that favor too.

Whether our younger or the elder one is brother or sister the bonding is always exciting. The lower the age gaps are, the more exciting it is. If the age difference is higher then there comes a matter of respect and manners. And we always try to maintain that though with age we all do acquire maturity still we do stay like enemies and cherish like another part of our soul.

Your post brought back a lot of memories for me as a child when living with my family and I have two elder brothers with whom I had a great time. Wishing you and your family all the best.
