Lock-Down Cravings, Foods awaiting....

The quarantine have really took a toll on us all. Breaking down the usual ways of our life and forcing us to live our life indoors. Damn! What a year is this 2020? History will remember this year at all times.

Among the daily life epistles, what I was missing the most were the FOODS. Even though I might sound like a very big foodie but the truth is I am very much choosy when it comes to food. And I have a very limited choice of foods as well. Given that thought, I was going through some of my old images and I found some of the images which reminded me of those good old times. I can not believe I had to say this one day "I MISS GOING OUT OF MY HOME".

This year, it was little different from usual, before this pandemic, I was getting used to this life of experiencing different foods, getting to shoot videos from different zones and most importantly I was getting used to creating videos in amidst people as well. Like you know the nervousness was going away slowly . But a bad timing entry was from corona to our life stopping everything as we speak.

Bhapha Pitha

Many of you are not familiar with some of the traditional foods of ours. This one below is one of the favorite of many BD people. It is normally made during winter time and has quite a nice demand among the people. I still remember childhood memories where the vendors used to come to our house very early in the morning to deliver this Pitha in our local community. Even though it didn't last for that long but I still have the memory somewhere in my mind.

I tried to make this at my home. But it was not close enough for me to get what we have at restaurants or from vendors. I miss this item kind of a lot. Well, I am kind of allergies to peanuts and this kind of restricts me in having this dish but who cares, I like it and I will have it whenever I can lol.

I do not like spicy food that much, so that puts me in a slight disadvantage as well. Some say this item tastes better when it is spicy while some tend to disagree. But either way, I like it and that is what matters. There are plenty of other dishes that I really want to try out once this lock down is fully over and let's see if I can get to share those moments with you once again or not.

On another note, by seeing the recent condition of my country I am not sure when will I be having this foods available again as the way we are approaching, we might be on another strict lock down pretty soon.
