Prevailing In The Midst Of Adversity - My Journey So Far

My family went through a lot of challenges after my dad lost his job. Our financial stability was adversely affected by this incident. Our standard of living also dropped as we could not maintain it anymore.

I was in secondary school during this period and was unhappy about how we were struggling as a family. I have always heard people say that "life is not a bed of roses" but to be honest never understood what they meant. This period of challenges for my family made me understand the meaning of that statement. I never lacked any basic need before my dad lost his job and did not experience hardship. I did not own all I desired but was happy with what I had. Moreover, I had the support and love of my family. This was more important to me.

My mum supported the family during this ordeal to the best of her abilities but the responsibilities were overwhelming. Her business was almost bankrupt as she was expending more than she earned. In spite of this challenge the business kept running and in retrospect I marvel at how she managed the situation.

Our financial situation continued getting worse and this made us have some unpleasant experiences. We got threatened with a notice to quit by our landlord several times after defaulting in the payment of our rent. My sister was almost sent out of her school due to delays in payment of her tuition fees. We were sometimes without electricity due to non-payment of electricity bills. These incidents were disheartening and painful.

I decided to get a job after I completed my secondary school education. I made the decision after much thought and consideration. I usually assisted my mum at her shop after I got back from school. I decided to get a job so that I can be self-sufficient and also support my family. This venture was more demanding than I had expected. It was an exposure to the world of work. The experience changed my perception about work and its rewards. Fortunately, I learnt how to be prudent and independent. I also learnt the importance of setting and working towards goals. These qualities turned out to be valuable in my development as I grew older.

One of my goals was to get into the university. I was worried initially about how I was going to fund my tertiary education. I earned a modest income and tried to save as much money as I could. My education was a subject that I could not compromise on. I knew the importance and impact it would have on my life. I decided to make it my top priority and did what was necessary to achieve it. I was glad I made this decision!

I did what I had to do and eventually got admitted into the university. I embarked on another interesting journey in my life. My first academic session was less stressful as I had set aside funds for it while I was working. I also got support from relatives and friends. These events made it clear to me that when there is a will to do something there is a way to get it done. I still had challenges but was optimistic that my situation would get better. I had faith and kept hope alive!

My hard work, optimism and faith was rewarded in the most unusual way. A friend in the university introduced me to cryptocurrency. I was amazed by this field and the bright prospects it had to offer. This was my ticket to financial empowerment. I seized the opportunity and began to learn about cryptocurrency. I got help and support from my friend and other cryptocurrency enthusiasts. This helped me acquire knowledge and wit that are necessary to navigate the world of cryptocurrency. It wasn't a smooth sail but I persisted nonetheless

I realised I had been introduced to a gateway to financial liberation by my friend and was keen to follow this path. I invested time, effort and money to exploit the opportunities that cryptocurrency offers. My commitment was rewarded and I'm glad I followed through. I have not attained the heights I set for myself nor am I claiming to be free from challenges but I am better equipped to face and overcome my challenges. Cryptocurrency has empowered me and also enabled me to support my family. I plan to increase and sustain the momentum I have gathered so far and continue on this path of self improvement. I am glad I did not give in to despair during the low moments of my life. I believe those challenges have helped me to become a stronger and better individual. Keep hope alive there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Have a pleasant day folks.
Thanks for reading.
