Digital Sketch ~ Cartoon Character ~ BELLE

Happy Easter Sunday Everyone
How are you all doing lovely people? I trust you are all good, I hope you have a blessed and rewarding day today.
Yeah, it's Sunday and some of us are already in the church to worship God while some of us are at home, but where ever you are, I am sending warm greetings to you and the blessing of today to you all.

You might be wondering how I was able to make a sketch today lol, and of course, I should be in church and not busy making sketches.
Well, I am glad to let you know that I usually prepare most of my sketches at night such that I deprive myself of good sleep because of it but this particular sketch was done yesterday evening before the sun finally went down.
I waited patiently to share my work today and I hope you all will like it and of course, you should especially all the cartoon and anime lovers here.

A lot of girls tend to love Belle in Beauty and the Beast very much. Well, I like her too, she is one of my favorites cartoon characters so I decided to sketch her and share today.
This is Beauty in the cartoon titled Beauty And The Beast
I am sure I won't have to share her story since a lot of us here already know the story, some have watched the cartoon, while some read in books and many others even watch the human version of beauty and the beast.

Here let me show you a few steps and progress as usual. Actually now I tend to share more of my work progress because I love how every step has something distinctive and unique to tell and I like showing more steps to show how stressful it was to get the final piece lol.

As usual, the first thing is always to start with the outline sketch of anything you want to draw and this is what I did.
I did observe certain things with my sketches when I started making digital sketches and I am glad after the observations, I applied something new and it works out well.
And what are the observations I made?

Well, I am very careful these days when making sketches, I don't use black color for the outline sketch. I rather choose a brown color or any related skin color, this way it will be much easier for me when filling and blending the colors. With this, the outline won't be visible at all unlike when I used to use black. It was always too stressful trying to paint and hide the black outlines.

Now you see? After filling in the colors, the outlines aren't very much visible again, and when I start blending in the colors, the outlines will be completely hidden as they should be.

Working on the hair is the best part I like most. It gives me some feeling of satisfaction when I am working on the hair cause I get to choose what color I want it to be, the pattern I want it, and where the highlight and shadows should be. If there is one part I like sketching and taking my time to do it, it is the hair 😁

Another part is the eyes and the lips.
You know I am often very careful with those two because any slightest mistake with those two parts then your whole drawing would or could be ruin.
Either you start all over again or you make a mess of the entire work.
These are the vital parts that make up a good sketch, the eyes, lips, and nose.

I blended the color and shadings well and then I started working on my favorite spot, the hair lol. As you can see, I have already started making light shadow shading on the hair.

I made it thicker and deeper here. I also made the shadow shading on her dress and skin, including her lips. Then I applied a little blush on both her cheeks.

After getting the above process, I added sparkles to her dress and hair, I also fixed one sparkle on her earrings.

It seems the white background didn't really help make the work outstanding and attractive so I had to look for a fitting background for the sketch, and the first color that came into my mind was black, and without wasting much time, I tried black color background and it was bae. I was totally in love with this so I went ahead to use it.
Let's agree, this looks better on the drawing right?.

Wait a sec! Have you noticed something? Well, I almost didn't notice it myself but we are missing something in this sketch and that is the eyebrows 🤭🤣 I almost finished up the sketch when I noticed she was missing a brow so I had to quickly include them. Check the last steps to behold her cool small eyebrows 🤭

And there! We have the eyebrows and this makes a complete and perfect sketch.
Trust me this came out so nicely and I love it.
