Market Experience ~ A Shoot In The Price Of Commodities

It's been a while I asked about the prices of things in the market since it's been a while I baked or even fried any small chops and snacks.
A friend decided a few months ago that she wanted to learn how to make peanuts and that I should teach her how it is done.

I told her the exact thing I said here, that I don't know the prices of all the things she needed to fry or bake peanuts. Since I didn't want to have problems while going alone to the market to purchase everything we needed for the peanut making, I suggested she came along together with me to the market to buy the things by herself and pay for them while I will just show her around and where she can get the ingredients and items we needed for making peanuts.

The very first things on our list were to get flour, vegetable oil butter, groundnut, and eggs. Those were the basic things we needed while others were just things we could easily get anywhere else.
Surprisingly for us when we asked for the price of a crate of eggs it was twice the amount we used to purchase before. I wasn't so surprised since other bakers already told me of their plight and why most of them cut their coat according to their sizes :)

My happiness was that the person came along and heard the prices of things with her ears too, cause telling her would have just sounded like mere stories or fiction.
Thank God we had extra change with us so we got what we wanted after asking around and finding out how others sell theirs and comparing it with one another.

We bought the groundnut. The seller measured it well though he took part of our balance since he didn't have the change so we just left it with him, it was nothing big so it was okay for him to keep our balance.

And then we took this part out of the groundnut area. Yes, in the market there are different places and areas you will find different and specific products you are seeking for.
And this location is for produces like groundnut, rice, beans, millet, dry pepper, soya beans, and so on.

It's funny how that written phrase in the bag is Best Quality Garri yet the produce inside the bag isn't garri but rice lol.
It happens a lot. Often we use a different kind of bags to put different products even if isn't the right bag for them.

And then the penultimate thing we bought was flour.
This isn't exactly where I used to buy my flour for baking but since we already got to this point, I thought why not just buy it at once here rather than still going in search of the place I usually buy mine.

We got the number of cups and quantity we wanted, bought a few others, and then we left the market after getting everything we needed.

It was a nice and fun experience to be able to tour the market a bit after a long time of doing that and also asking questions and the prices of things.
Thank you for stopping by and going through my post.
